Hardware 5.55 jailbreak out of India/Pakistan?

come man its not that easy. they have done an excellent job with hen and im sure the whole world is happy. you are the first one complaining :-/

I am not expecting anything. there was an article by FOF about finding some keys and maybe a downgrader ultimately.

Nah mate, i am not complaing, kudos to the devs, at least they dedicate theyre time to exploit a machine for others to use as they see fit. And i am not complaining because i run my PS4 in stock and the HEN didn't manage to caught my attention to stay on 5.05, due to the nature of the exploit and the limitations with newer software, i am sure when the PS4 reaches the end of its life cycle, the exploits will probably mature, but for now, its just a complicated process, and the scene doesn't have that Dev Impact as the PS3 did back in the day, but at least is something ;)

Hen is also giving problems like 5 of 10 tries. Hangs, crashes/powers off. Then need to press power button 2 times for the light to come on followed by disk check message. After boot no games list; need to restore app.db and appcont.db files. Using Al Azifs cached page, but its still worth it; apparently not all users have this issue.

yeah, I've encountered crashes requiring flipping the toggle switch. usually, that happens when the system is overloaded with too many payloads (i.e. deploying hen, then using app dumper). it may be cumulative too, so too many payloads without a resting period may cause this. I've had that happen when I was dumping all of my games. I can't say I've encountered the one with a corrupted database, though I'm sure it's possible considering the system storage has to be scanned for corruption after a crash. it's not exactly a perfect method of exploitation, but I do remember the early wii u days with the "race attack failed" via the browser just to get haxchi installed. now, it's nearly 100% of the time, at least on 5.5.1. these things are likely to improve over time.

No other payloads running. But he saw in some other forum to wait for a minute or so after boot and then go to settings, user guides (wait and avoid internet browser was the suggestion). Seems to have helped but still happens every now and then.

As for the corrupt database, it happened just twice. At first he had to format ps4 as he didnt backup the files. The games list also vanishes on rebuilding database from recovery menu.

the fact that no games are appearing is probably due to fake pkgs using a non legit license. there's a debug rif file that comes with fake pkg generator. I think it's like the vita where all games are using the same license.

I rarely play my ps4, or any console other than the switch, so it's probably understandable that I've not encountered that error. it's a good practice to backup the app.db on both the vita and the ps4. I used to do it after every install. in fact, I'd do this on the 3ds as well. install/delete something, use tiksweep, then make a backup of my micro sd card and NAND. I typically keep backups of everything after several hdds failed (probably due to the pos enclosures). I now have 2 10TB hdds with everything on them including ps4 saves, databases, pkgs.

I've modded the app.db on the vita, but I never have on the ps4. interestingly, I don't believe you'll encounter this database issue if the save database is updated as I did try it. one thing I noticed about the app.db is that it increases in size while the one on the vita doesn't. I assume that that means there's no limit to the number of games, but I'm not really sure. this is at least assuming that the vita app.db maintains the same size indefinitely, since I don't have a whole lot of games on my system. I did notice that the vita one decreased in size after a firmware update (from 3.60-3.65), so hypothetically sony could block a person from accessing their games through the app.db. anyway, I need to make a new backup after having installed around 40 games.

I had a seagate backup plus slim 2tb die the 2nd time i plugged in. I use multiple drives now 3 2tbs and 1 1tb; wouldn't transfer them all to a single drive.

I feel like some curry, is that bad?

no curries are always good:friendly wink:. Anyway i posted that for proof of the scam. BTW in the video he says he charges 45 to 50 USD for downgrade as a special discount for that channel subscribers hahaha :playful:.

This does not even matter...

You downgrade your 6.66 whatever console down to 5.05 - now what? You can't play any new games.

Are people forgetting about what happened with the PS3 Super Slim?

Just have 2 consoles damn you! Stop being so cheap!
That seems like the way its going to be then.Your probably going to need 2 consoles to continue to play latest games without lossing the ability to play ps4 backups that are 5.05 compatible, unless some sort of homebrew comes out that can bypass the firmware restriction on a game.

As for not being cheap, its not that simple. You dont want to be a moron by going on ebay and paying the equal amount of money it costs to get a killer gaming pc for a prejailbroken ps4.The best way seems to either get lucky on sealed pro bundles that have jailbreakable firmwares at a reasonable cost, like say 400$-500$ or you could go on amazon and just get a sealed discontinued model which will land you somewhere in the 200$-300$ zone.

This is not a solution for someone who want keep his profile (same NPAID for saves, same trophies etc.). Maybe I'm wrong (I heard rumor, never tested this myself) but in PS4 case, restoring system backup needs... online validation.

In PS3 times, I waiting on CEX CFW 3.55 very long, then I jumped to DEX OFW 4.xx to playing newer games and going back to DEX CFW 3.55 every time when I need backup my user data, then finally appear a solution to build CFW Frankenstein until this day. The keyword is patience. I cannot understand why peoples want everything already, now, as quickly as possible, why their life's is endless running.

the only way to bypass the firmware is to dump the game on higher firmware. a pkg'd game appears to be decrypted. in fact, when you dump a game, it says "decrypting selfs" after the app.pkg is decrypted. there is a way to add keys to lower firmware on the ps3, but the problem on the ps4 is knowing those keys and creating an update that the system will accept.

my wii hdd died within a year. I think it was the enclosure since my ps3, 360, and wii were all using the same hdd enclosure. it's a pos sabrent one. I'll never buy another. I'm going with unpowered hdds from now on, and I'm only using one hdd per console. it's less to keep track of. I did get a replacement from wd of the hdd. it might've been a defective drive to have died so quickly. luckily, I had two (now four) backups of my wii's hdd. I'm apprehensive about putting so much data on two hdds, but I bought two hdds in case one dies. I plan to store these other hdds, the ones the data originated from. funny thing is that I managed to get all of the data from my second ps3 hdd before it started dying. :) I didn't realize it but all psx and psp games were on it. :D

having a 5.05 system isn't really that great. in fact, I'd sell mine if I thought I could get any money from it. it's a limited edition phattie, and I think the operative word is phattie. who'd want it!? I did try to sell my entire game collection, but most of my games are digital and the few retail games I own, I'd only make around $50 total. lol with the ps4, I had started to do what I did with the ps3 and the vita -- learn all about a system, then never play any of its games. that's why I don't plan to hack my switch.

I've been updating it as soon as an update is available. I'm having a lot of fun with that system -- playing octopath traveler and mega man x8. both games are extremely difficult, and mmx8 might actually be a terrible game. it's just ugly with poor level design. that's coming from a die hard mega man fan who plans to buy the amiibo edition mega man 11 next month. ;) anyway, I've had very little fun with the ps4. being an rpg fan, I was extremely disappointed with the tales, final fantasies, star ocean, etc. games on that system. I'm just glad vesperia is coming out. I nearly beat that game on the 360 'til my pos xenon rrod. it actually has an overworld, something definitely missing from the lifeless hallways that are rpgs now.

All of these are below 5.05 - I was able to get them VERY easily and VERY cheap. You just need to be savvy! I made heaps of profit selling all of them :)

But if you think about this from a conspiracy kind of way - maybe Sony WANTS you to have 2 PS4's....

Look, fundamentally when Elder Scrolls 6 comes out, no jailbreak is going to get in my way! If I had only 1 PS4, I would update without a thought.

some people can't afford more than one system. that would include me. plus, fiddling with cables is a pita with my setup. I easily have over 100 cables at the back of my entertainment center, and I can't see behind it either. I dropped a gyroscope that I got at the Griffith Observatory back behind there. it's pretty much lost for good, at least until I move the thing. this is one reason why I think that the switch is superior. all I have to do is plug in the dock, and I can swap consoles by just placing each on the dock...no cables involved. however, I wish that the switch had an optical out, since my receiver only has component and optical. screw technology. :-P

I'm actually using hdmi splitters to split 11 devices to my one hdmi port. the ps4 is by itself after removing its cable caused the innards of the hdmi port (the splitter's) to come out. unless there's an hdmi cable that can split audio to optical out while at the same time split into a second hdmi cable, I think I'll have to live with it. I don't want diminished quality which will probably happen. I know it's possible, but I'd have to use several adapters to do it.

maybe I could get something like this, but I don't believe I'll get any sound on the tv:

https://www.amazon.com/Tendak-Optical-Extractor-Converter-Splitter/dp/B00Y0920B4

I think it might be 9 or 10 actually since the original port went bad. I'm still using the splitter,, just without that port. I wasn't getting any video, so I guess the splitter is just cheap shit. it only cost around $3.00-5.00, so I can't expect much. I have two five-way splitters leading to a three-way splitter. it's sort of a mess. :D
