Having CEX and DEX

Hi all,
Let me apologize if this was already covered somewhere. I am new to all this things and I am loving it.
Just recently jail broke my ps3 :), followed a tutorial from this forum and I installed Ferrox standard Edition and MultiMan tool.
First, I don't know if I have a CEX or DEX. Some people told me that I have a CEX just because DEX is for developers. Anyway, I would like to be able to have both CEX and DEX.
Did I install a wrong firmware for that? What do I need to do to accomplish that if it's possible.

Ferrox is a CEX firmware.
Currently only Rebug offers a dual hybrid firmware able to switch from cex to dex & vice versa.
If you are interested you need to install Rebug REX 4.81.2. There is no REX 4.82 because the team still does not have access to a DEX 4.82 PUP but on CFW there is little point in using 4.82 anyway.

So Ferrox is CEX and Rebug REX is DEX. Is that right?
Can I install Rebug REX over Ferrox? ( just put the file on a stick and do normal update?

Will I be able to use PSN with it?

CEX = installable on retail PS3 models
DEX = installable on debug PS3 models

All ferrox are CEX
Rebug REX = CEX
Rebug D-REX = DEX

Yes, because both are CEX

Yes, because latest rebug REX is 4.82 (same version than the latest required by official servers)
 
Thank you for the clarification. Now that Rebug Rex is installed with Habib Toggle QA. In the Debug Settings (When holding all 7 buttons on the controller) There is no Release Check Mode and Boot Mode. So I went to Rebug Toolbox to check if Rebug settings are set on DEX I was greated with " install rebug rex edition to access these functions". I am sure that I downloaded Rebug Rex 4.82.1 LITE Edition.

When I had Ferrox, Multiman, PSNpatch were installed. I expected them not be there, but they were.
After Rebug Rex was installed, the console restarted and the Rebug icon appeared along with different XMB theme.

Did I mess something up?

Thank you, it worked, and I converted from CEX to DEX using Toolbox, but I ran into an issue.
On the Debug Settings I don't have these setting:
-Release Check Mode
-Boot Mode
-And some others
When I checked system information it shows that it's on DEX. Is there something else I should do?

You can toggle the cex/dex debug menu in the Selector column of the Rebug Toolbox.
