The internal HD of my PS4 broke, and I want to use an HD of Xbox 360,I opened the compartment and removed it, but I do not know if it is compatible.
It is also of 250GB, for me it's great,it would only be to install the system , because I have another 1TB HD connected on the PS4 for the games, but I can not use it as internal, because it's a Samsung M3 :apathy:

should work. the internal hdd for the xbox 360 is just a glorified hdd with a fancy shell at three times the price. they pulled the same bs with those rechargeable battery packs (normal AA batteries inside of shell), but yeah, you should be able to by just formatting the hdd on the ps4. at one point, I was using hdds from the ps3, 360, and ps4 together on different systems.

The 500GB hard drive of my PS4 touch two beeps, sometimes, when the Playstation is ready to be turned off. It also makes a loud noise from the needle and on the XMB the screen gets kind of slow.
Already got error 36329-3, inclusive I already used up option 7 of recovery mode, but nothing works. My hope is to change the HD :D

the 360 uses a format known as fatX, but it should show up as unallocated or raw space by the ps4 similar to how it would look on the pc. the system will try to format it regardless of file system, even if the entire drive was in raw format. the swapping of hdds, for me, was done with external enclosures. the systems will read them fine.

I used CrystalDiskInfo to find out more information from the HD, since in the stamp is not shown, this HD I bought in Aliexpress,I think it is restored,

Edit:Sorry for the mistake,I had put wrong the unity.
The correct is M :-p
It does not have a lot of information, I think I will not use it anymore, it does not seem to be reliable. The program shows a smaller capacity, the HD is 232GB and CrystalDisk shows 137.4GB

check the unallocated space in disk management. I'm not sure if crystaldiskinfo will read the entire drive or just the part that's been formatted. iirc, a ps4 hdd should have 14 partitions on it.

Does this information that crystaldiskinfo showed is because I connected an external case from Segate to the HD maybe?

In RGH, any laptop hdd will work. But for hdd to work in retail xbox 360 only Original microsoft hdd or specific WD hdd (BPVT, BEVT etc) flashed with security sector with hddhackr right?

or now any HDD can be used? I dont know new developments of xbox 360

Never buy hdd or flash drive from chinese. I bought 2tb external hdd but inside only 80gb hdd (the pcb 2TB so windows showing 2tb; but platter only 80GB). Seller listed as "manufacturer refurbished" and good deal so I got tricked :moody:

the hdds that work with hddhackr are usually the scorpio models (officially). unofficially, all drives should work, but you need an rgh/jtag. there shouldn't be any issues with formatting a drive on the ps4. though, it must be 9.5mm height or else it won't fit.

This particular HD was used in my XBOX 360 RGH, always worked very well, now I use as external HD, also never had problems

should be no issue. I've used a 360 hdd and a ps4 hdd as an external hdd for both systems. this won't be any different with an internal drive.
