PS3 Help! Wife did a systemupdate on my rogero CFW 4.30

Hallo! Since ages im runnning a fat old PS3 with Rogero 4.30 CFW to start multiman and some hoebrews loke nintento emulators.

Now my wife had the idea to make a systemupdate to 4.84.

Im out of the scene since years, can anyone tell me, what to do now?
Is there a easy way to get a CFW 4.84 (latest)?
Do i have to clean the HDD from all the homebrew stuff(i installes a 120GB ssd with game images and homebrew).

ok thank you, i hacked my console in a time, it was forbitten to upgrade the Firmware, or it will neverbe brakable.
I thinik, best will be to make a system resert, to get rid of all the installed stuff? perhaps they case problems?
 
rebug has some safe guards in place. I'm not sure in the xmb, but in the emer_init.self (the recovery menu), they've replaced where to look for an update from PS3/UPDATE to NOT/UPDATE iirc. it's only for bd and bdvd last time I checked. I think hen might have even more safe guards though.
