PS3 Help

My Ps3 when I try to install a pkg file it hangs up and asks to connect the control with the usb cable and press the PS button.Then ask you to try restarting the console by pressing the PS button or installing Firmware 3.40.I rebooted the ps3 with the PS button it gets normal.but when I try to install the pkg file it gives the same problem.the file that I tried to install was the reactpsn. he did not install the file PKG and appears an error, later he lock and appears the message.what do I do?

What's the error say? You will get an error if you are on official firmware.
Are you on CFW ?
What model of ps3 do you have?

Other pkg files install fine?

I did not test because I was afraid to give the same problem.But if I change the Hd will return to normal?
