I tried the blank boot plugin and it didnt work and the that folder dont go away just webman if i dont activate hen is it basically like I'm on ofw

Imma play a game for a few hours without enabling hen and see if it freezes I'll be back

What do you mean by didnt work?

If you get no freeze with a blank boot_plugins.txt then it means the freeze is related to a plugin.
If you still get a freeze with a blank boot_plugins.txt then that means its not related to a plugin.

Yes figure that out. I thought you already knew it did not freeze without HEN Toolbox.

I'm worried it might be my hdd going bad but I tested it like a week ago and it was good no bad partitions and good loading times idk I think I night of put something on here it dont like cause it didnt start freezing till about a month ago I went ahead and uninstalled all homebrew except mana gunz cause I dont think it's the problem
I wonder if psn patch could be it idk the only plugin I see is hen and webmans expect a bunch in the flash but I dont wanna mess with them but I'm wondering if that or maybe under folder game_plugin maybe one of those idk what it could be
 
But it's just around 2-4 hours in it will just lock up it's weird like no lag no over heat no noises just stop and I hold the button it cuts off and I can cut it right back on and it's good to go again for around another 2 hours
 
You need to get a little bit methodical with your tests, you seem to be randomly testing this and that and still dont really know anything for sure

Come up with a system and it will not take you long to find the cause of the issue.

If you are 100% sure that your console is 100% stable when on OFW, Then maybe try install HFW but don't install HEN , use the console for a few hours and see if you get a freeze... This proves if its HFW related.

If you get no freeze then install HEN...use the console for a few hours and see if you get a freeze...this proves if its HEN related.

If you still get no freeze then install webMAN MOD, use the console for a few hours and see if you get a freeze, this proves if its webMAN related.

If you still get no freeze then try install multiman, use the console for a few hours and see if you get a freeze... you know the rest.

Do not install HEN Toolbox at all for a few days until you are 100% sure that all of your other homebrew is not causing any issue. Then if you install HEN Toolbox and it starts freezing you will know a bit more.

good advice. I try to keep a methodology to my tests too. whenever I add something new or update on any system, I run several tests to make sure everything is working. I'm usually pretty good at finding bugs like I found one in twilight menu++ last night. gameboy freezes the app if you exit a game twice. that's the only bug I found.
 
I dont think it's a hfw but a hen related I have had the console on for four hours and no freeze I have hfw but I didnt enable hen
 
Depends what you mean by delete everything.

When you install HFW it removes everything on dev_flash, this includes all HEN files.. If you want to remove everything on HDD then you need to format the hdd or restore to factory defaults.

If you want to start from scratch then install HFW and then restore to factory defaults. You will lose all accounts and saves etc.

No i didn't mean tool box I ment without hen its self I played for about 4 hours just a digital game and it's been fine it's something hen related because the firmware seems to be stable
 
What all would be running if I didnt activate hen but I was still playing on hfw

Nothing really, if its not freezing you know HFW is fine.

Ok, so you know its not HFW related. Next thing is to try install HEN but have no plugins or homebrew running. See if that freezes.

Where would all the plugins be because the only two I see is hen and webman

plugins can be anywhere you want, they are controlled by boot_plugins.txt. Like I said loads of times, use a blank boot_plugins.txt to disable ALL plugins? Have you seriously not tried that yet?
