PS3 how can i get my eid_root_key?

I see, so erk dumper wasn't updated itself and does not recognize firmware?

edit
looking at his source, there is no rebug specific method to dump rootkey and it should work fine latest fw, unless you are using an older toolbox. it is updated on his git

I see. I'm remembering from 4.85 or so, whichever rebug toolbox existed then, but I don't know why the member would be asking about erk if he's on 4.87 though.

cause of remarrying bd drive, which depends on rootkey? also it is an important key, which everyone should have, no matter if rebug or not

edit
maybe someone else can update the source on my git and add latest fws? it is more or less an universal rootkey dumper, where you only have to add latest fws

Yeah, I just need to remarry a new Blu-ray Drive. A week ago I had no idea a PS3 could be jailbroke and here am I trying to dump eid. LOL Thanks everyone for your input. I will try a few of the things some of you have suggested and update.

Hello,
my PS3 is dead. I have a second PS3 with a custom FW on it.
Can I dump the eid root key from the HDD of the dead PS3 by connecting the HDD via USB to the second PS3?

@RolePSGuy ERK is part of meta loader which lies on flash memory in encrypted form. The only way to get it is to fix the console and dump it while it works. On top of that, possible only on CFW.

In consequence, each of PS3 encrypting HDD by unique key because ERK is unique. That's why one PS3 cannot use HDD from another PS3 because it's encrypted by keys which doesn't exist on another PS3.

I have a problem
I put save IDPS in EID0 and I get an error: run_payload ()
failed: 0x80010003
error: bad_eid_root_key
Help me please
