PS2 How to burn properly a disc?

What's a good software to test the quality of a PS2 burn ( especially DVD+R DL ) ? I read about Kprobe2, but that's only for Lite-ons, right ?

Mcboot will not read dual layer burns even with ESR But you can try to patch the iso with toxic then esr it does works somewhat.

?? I said you need to patch it with toxic then esr. with ESR only it will not read dual layer alone. I never said it wouldn't work. Although with todays dl media it struggles. toxic is hosted here.

Trick to burning DL for Mcboot is rip original with Imgburn then apply Toxic patch to ISO then apply ESR patch. Then use Power ISO to burn image (I found Power ISO to be a much more reliable burn than using Imgburn). 8x Verbatim media is pretty good even if it is CMC.

I got it to work with Mcboot. I patched the iso with ToxicDL then patched it with ESR. Then Burned a Verbatim DVD+R DL with Power ISO at 4x. Using a Bluray LG burner.

Trick? That's the normal procedure since ~June 2008 and you should update to FDVDB-ESR-Patcher-GUI...

Definetly NOT! UltraISO, PowerISO, etc. are NOT suitable for any PS/PS2-Disc!

Turn IMGBurn's "perform OPC" ON, use a good writer, etc.

What you meant and what you WROTE (not said) are 2 totally different things AND you are WRONG.

You can patch stuff in RAM to make ESR-DLs which are not toxic-patched work...

ESR works with DLs. Point blank!

Also in my case it worked (I used a Verbatim DVD-R_DL). It was the NTSC-U version.

Can you point me to guides where patching ram makes it work I am having issues with one DL disk not working?
For some reason on my computer PowerISO burns better for PS2 than Imgburn not sure why, and yes I have OPC on for Imgburn.
I am using FDVDB esr sorry if it was not clear.

There are no tools for this. You apply the same patch on the IOPRP regarding PTP instead of OTP like the Toxic-DL-Patcher and multiple modchips do. Done... I am not sure if we can do stuff with Cheatmodules on the IOP, but that should be sufficient.
