Well you can just use windows sorting too, you dont need to install any applications.

i test that it will not work if user copy pkg to user sorteb by small size to big like i did and explorer he sort by name that will not change any things it is just a view display in pc only and ps3 will install depending on how he start copying order

It does work, I tried it. Sort them in explorer by size, then select them all, click and drag them all onto USB, they will copy in the order they are in, and then they will install in the order they copied.

ahhhh i thought you talk about sorting after he copy the pkg to USB ,thats why i tell him ,yeah me too i sort by name using explorer then copy with explorer if supercopier is deactivated

My point was just that you don't need any apps, any normal file explorer is able to change the order for copying, just by changing the display order before copying.

Thank you guys for keep trying on this ,sadly i cannot try this due i am out of the city .

See i tried the copy method after i made this thread but did not report back . Becuase i thought it was wrong .

I think the order will change if you rename a file or two.

Try rename it backward to see if you can at least control the flow or it has to be the first coby

Will the Cut/Paste does the job instead of Copy/Paste?

Also if you removed some files will the order be the same ?

I wish to go back home right now to try things like this

i don't test the removing test it your self but cut/paste or copy/paste is the same the important is the order of copy process

well, sony really f'd up. the time created/alphabetizing is in the reverse order, and they never fixed it.

I think in windows the order of how are copyed depends in the order you select them

As example... i use to select multiple files in windows by "click and drag" a big selection square over all them
But this "click and drag" order depends of the position you do the first cick
If you click at bottom of the list and drag to top direction you are selecting them in reverse orer

A differet way to do multiple selections is by clicking in a file... then keep pressed the SHIFT key and click in the second file... then click in the third file and so on

Im not compeltly sure if what im saying is important, but based in your talks i guess it could be

-------------------
Anyway, the best way to do this would be by using some tool to order them after are copyed to the USB stick
This way there is no need to worry in the order of how are copyed to the USB stick... as a payback you need to remember you need to use the tool to reorder them after the copy, but is better imo and less prone to mistakes

Im not sure about that, Im on Windows 8.1. I just did a test, dragged a box over a load of packages from the bottom up, they were sorted alphabetically on the list, Then I dragged and dropped using the top file to USB, they copied to the stick in order from top to bottom, ignoring the original selection order. They also installed then in the same way.

You mean the CTRL key I assume, as SHIFT and click selects all in between 2 points. I tried that too, that order is also ignored by the copying and by the installing on Windows 8.1. TBH it should work like you are saying and maybe Linux does or OSX, but windows is just not that good.

We are actually lucky it pays any attention to the displayed list at all, being windows I would not have been surprised if it just copied them alphabetically always :D

I suppose a tool would be good for someone who has a MASSIVE amount of packages that must be installed in order, but that is not really a real world problem is it?

I think if you have a few pkgs that must be installed in order, then its easiest to just add 001,002 etc to the start of the file names, or after the main title, If you do this before copying them to the USB device then you wont have any issues. This is handier for visually referring to them too.

Like this will work fine:
Assassins_Creed_blah_blah_game.pkg
Assassins_Creed_blah_blah_update1.pkg
Assassins_Creed_blah_blah_update2.pkg
Assassins_Creed_blah_blah_update3.pkg

I test it now i copy 5 pkg of gta 5 and one update pkg and pes2019 monster patch 6.2 when i remove the update pkg the order still the same it install the 5 game pkg then proceed to install pes2019 so the order of copying on pc is important to be used the same on PS3
