installing the HEN to the network board broken ps3?

My ps3 shows 80010201 error which seems like there's an hardware issue of network.
It's not what I had after installing the hfw, mine is just old and I remember It showed the error
from some point and I couldn't use the internet any more.
(bluetooth works fine, but the Wifi doesn't work and also with the cable it's same,It's not fixable.)
I installed 4.87 hfw but nothing more than just a firmware since HEN needs a connection either
with internet or the media server which I cannot find any other way to do with network dead ps3.
or is there any other ways to downgrade from 4.87 hfw without HEN?

what is your model number? cech-??

if your ps3 can use cfw, you can use a hardware flasher to downgrade. if not, you can not downgrade.

are you sure that internet is enabled in settings and that a wired connection is selected?

It's cechk05 the latest of the oldest fat version.

I had a cfw before so,guess I should try to downgrade. thanks about it

but the internet problem is obviously the hardware problem, I tried everything I could and the last thing was installing the new firmware.

the light on the back doesn't blinks when I connect the lan, and it cannot find a router when I try to connect the wifi.

you can't go back to cfw without network either (unless you use hardware flasher of course).

try changing your router to 2.4 ghz (instead of 5 ghz or some let you use both). also try wpa2 for password/security settings.

I don't know if ps3 hen has a cache type thing like the ps4, but you may have to run it once via the network, even if doing it offline. I know that's how it is with the ps4 except after caching the exploit, you no longer need the network (can even turn the internet off in network settings). I think the wifi antennae is located around the bluetooth one, so you may encounter bluetooth problems as well at some point, but I'm not really a ps3 hardware expert. I just seem to recall reading that in another post.

@Coro , I think he has to use 2.4GHz. I think ps4 phats and earlier have to use it. I think most routers that can use 5GHz are dual band. that's what I use myself. only my switch is capable of 5GHz. all other systems I have use 2.4GHz. it might be able to pick up the ssid (Not sure), just won't be able to connect. I'm trying to think back to my psp. I don't think it could detect 5GHz now that I think about it, but it could if using wpa2 (incompatible with this), so it would show in grey.

Search for bend pins on the network conector behind of the ps3..if there is bend pins.. use a needle to unbend it...
