PS3 Internet Browser problems

Does setting up a proxy mess with your router or Internet? Is it easy to delete and not mess up the Internet when done?

Nah, you just connect the PS3 to your PC and run an application. No settings need to be changed on PC or router, you just gotta activate the proxy setting in your PS3 for the time being.

I'm using a network switch, though. Might be different for other setups.

To setup mitmproxy was easy but now I get instead of the 80710a06 error another error 80710b23

For example without mitmproxy I can update date and time over Internet.
With mitmproxy I get the errorcode 80710b23 when I update date and time over the internet.

I searched already for solutions but nothing work.

It's as I feared.
Google Trust Services issuer now renamed WE1 is now using a ECDSA algorithm instead of RSA in their certificates.
Their certs are no longer PS3 compliant.

Hmmm...
Not sure what's going on here, the current certificate I just installed is a Let's encrypt cert using SHA256 RSA and issued by the ISGR X1 CA which is in CA_LIST.cer since 4.86 AFAIK..

It could not be simple of course... [emoji17]

Ill be on standby in case you need me to keep trying, and if anyone else sees this as well

I'm on cfw 4.91. Put ps3toolset.com, redirect to /bgtoolset, 2 seconds loading blank and error ocurred (80710a06)

I don't get it.
Let's encrypt is normally cross signed with 2 CAs.

DST Root X3 which works for sure since fw 4.82 iirc

and

ISRG Root X1 which should work in theory since fw 4.86 iirc

The first CA works fine (we used it in the days of ps3xploit dot net) however as it expires on September 30th, Let's encrypt has decided to stop using it, which means all renewals are using ISRG Root X1 ONLY now.

And for some reason ISRG Root X1 appears included in the PS3 Trust store but the browser won't validate the certificate nonetheless...

Grrrr...

use the proxy trick only when you need to open bgtoolset website to mitigate 80710a06 error on ps3 internet browser

the proxy did work. right now if you use it the toolset comes up and in the toolset it says the page cannot be displayed. (80710028) in the toolset log. it also says the ps3 exploitation framework download failed now.

I can load the ps3toolset site with mitmproxy running through my PC. After the page loads, the log frame fails to load anything and says "This page cannot be displayed. (80710028)". MITM shows requests for files log.php, file.php, and error.php fail with a 401. Notably, the response given for file.php states "Access denied 25" (If 25 means something).

I've been looking at different CAs but I don't understand about this. Would SSLForFree, ZeroSSL and CACert CAs have the same problem as let's encrypt?
