Latest update 5.55 won't let you play even disc games

Ok so am I missing something here. It's prompting me to download 5.55 I understand my PS plus won't work without network but games I bought and what's weirder my Deadpool disc won't let me play offline.i need update. Wtf on Sony's end is going on

I don't have a hacked ps4 so it's downloading. It just keeps sending me to update though no matter if I try a disc game or not. I got Deadpool in my tray ATM. Downloads telling me three hours

You mean, you are on 5.55 FW right? Would you like to stop updating the game than to play offline correct?

If you scroll all the way to the left and look under status you can see what is being downloaded and/or installed

No server was overloaded with probably people downloading. My end I only had the update. Sucks though because I was waiting for a future exploit but that was still forced update. Darn sony

you can block updates with my ps4 tutorial. updating will error, so it won't even download anything. plus, you can still access the internet.
