PS3 Looking for users with RSOD on their PS3.

When I download them I turn on the ps3, holding I hope it turns off, I turn it on again without letting go and it enters the boot mode and when I want to install the firmware it tells me "file is corrupt" and this error number 8002f2c5 any idea that I'm doing wrong? thanks for your help.

maybe I'm going very fast:
I download the firmwares that you told me, I passed them to a flash drive formatted to fat32, I enter the ps3's recovery mode, I go to system update, and when it is looking for the firmware it tells me the file is corrupt, and error code 8002f2c5.
When I install the original 4.86 if it installs but from 50% it goes to 100% and it remains black, I turn off the switch and when I turn it on, the red error screen appears.

you installed ofw or hfw and it worked, then you have lost jailbreak and will need hardware flasher to fix.

try to install rebug 4.86 lite rsod pup. if it gives error number please post it.
 
I HAVE A PS3 FAT THEY GAVE IT TO ME WITHOUT A HARD DISK I PUT IT ONE AND TRY TO INSTALL 4.86 BUT AT THE END, THE RED SCREEN COMES OUT THAT I COULD DO FROM ALREADY THANKS ... I SAW THE TUTORIAL BUT I DO NOT UNDERSTAND BECAUSE OF MY LITTLE ENGLISH.

If your PS3 is giving RSOD as soon as you turn it on you will need to install another CFW true the FSM that have RSOD Bypass.

DO NOT INSTALL A OFW!

If you do you will no longer be able to install a CFW and you will only be able to fix it with a Flasher.

Thanks @Vitor Leão that is the answer I was looking for as well.
So we would use the PS3Jig and get into FSM then software update with a CFW?
My syscon is spoofed to 999.99

Will I be able to update to 4.82 CFW again?
My PS3 went into a green light only startup from hard resetting too many times or i think the video settings were reset or something.
Will this be an issue trying to get into FSM?

try to rest video using this procedure.

also try recovery mode.

if you have qa flag enabled, you should be able to install any cfw version. if you dont have it enabled but can get ps3 to boot, use rebug toolbox or habib's tool to enable it.

jig and fsm are not required to downgrade normally.

do you have RSOD problem?

why is ps3 spoofed to 9.99? did you use sen enabler to that?

@Coro Thanks for the reply.

The problem is that my RSOD happens at startup.
So it goes into update mode but the update fails and then I get the RSOD.
I can't even get into recovery mode.
When I try to reset by holding down for the 3 beeps it doesn't reset the video settings .
I just have one green light and no blue light.

@Coro I wanted to change my PS3 from CEX to DEX
I was on Cobra 4.82 Rebug. I tried to downgrade using Rogero Downgrader 3.55
This changed the syscon to 9.99
When I tried to install OFW 3.55 I got the RSOD when the PS3 tried to update.
Now when I boot up I get no recovery mode. It first tries to resume the update and then goes to RSOD.
I wanted to use the PS3Jig method to try and get into FSM and possibly install a CFW with RSOD bypass.
Will this work?

i do not know about FSM or jigs. if its tries to update, give it a rsod cfw pup. maybe will work and get you to point were you can fix rsod.

this is how to downgrade:
enable qa flag
install new firmware twice

cex2dex (or back) can be done without downgrade using rebug toolbox.

I tried to change from CEX to DEX from the toolbox but it didn't work for me :(
 
Joonie, please help! I have PS3 FAT cechl-08, с RSOD, ferrox 4.87 rsod bypass Savedgame-incorrect, and trophy. before i used e3flaher, for CFW.

Sorry I'm no longer researching this issue, please review previous posts and follow along as needed.
 
I have a PS3 Fat CECHE01 that give me a RSoD only after changing the system settings, I tried installing the Rebug 4.84 but it fails at 3% with error 8002F14E, now I don't know if it's related to the RSoD because that error appears to be related with the bluray driver, which works fine

You might wanna try the FW with all the patches applied. (RSOD, noBT and noBD)
