Mamba Loader (+AutoLoader)

I have updated MAMBA/PRX Loader (But i don't have changed his version, its sill v2.1.3) with an updated version of MAMBA who fix an error introduced in last version released with the Loader.

Note : If you use AutoLoader re-install it to update MAMBA.

Download: MAMBA_PRX_Loader

Note: The download link has been changed its not the same as before, i can't replace the old file on media i don't know why.

Hi _NzV_,
I have been trying to get your Mamba/PRX loader 2.1.3 (still shown as 2.1.2?) to work for a while & to my great shame with no success.
I am no noob but your homebru is becoming a challenge, it gives me a black screen & hangs on a 2504A running Ferrox or Habib 4.75 CEX. If I use the Cross to install the autoloader, the system beeps & restart but the new log tells me it uninstalled Mamba and neither Mamba nor the plugins are loaded..!? The mamba_plugins.txt is located on /dev/hdd0/ & the entries for webman 1.42.1 & psnpatch 4.70.07 spry files are correct.
I don't understand. I reinstalled both CFW several times after testing to ensure tests validity.

I already read all your docs & forums but no help there so I am writing as a last resort. Any ideas? Has anyone else had problems getting the bru to run. autoloader or not.

Also another question, am I right to assume that by using Mamba, I should use the cobra version of Webman's webftp_server.sprx.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Btw thank you for your work for the community.

Adding on to my previous message.
Could never get Mamba/PRX Loader to work on Ferrox 4.75 CEX v1.0 after a few hours trying. Had problems with Multiman hanging too anyway..

However, I managed to install the autoloader on Habib 4.75 CEX v1.0. By keeping the Cross pressed after launching the bru, the system beeped once & restarted.
I checked the 2 logs using verbose + the install log in /dev/hdd0/tmp, I found them a bit cryptic though, contradictory even (I could develop if needed). I humbly suggests that some improvements would be welcome in this code section (if time allows of course).
Main thing is it works flawlessly!! Webman 1.42.01 & PSNPatch 4.70.07 launching automatically on Mamba. Always loved Cobra for that... No fuss..
Bravo to_NzV_ for the Mamba improvements..

I still have a question though, why do we need to use webftp_server_noncobra.sprx on Mamba when mCm runs under Mamba without problem? With the non cobra WebMAN-MOD I seem to have lost NTFS USB access. prepNTFS works, fills the wmtmp folder but webMAN-MOD 1.42.01 non cobra does not use the created entries...

Many thanks to joonie, _NzV_, Estwald, aldostools, Hermes & all the others who have made this scene interesting & alive...

You must not use webftp_server_noncobra.sprx.
When MAMBA is running you can use webftp_server.sprx as on a Cobra CFW...the only differences between Mamaba and Cobra are PS2 and PSP ISOs, as you can see here

Thank you for your help. Indeed, once Mamba is loaded, one can use mamba_plugins.txt to load webftp_server.sprx. The full cobra version of the plugin.

so all we have to do is edit the mamba_plugins.txt from "/devhdd0/game/MAMBAPRXL"? i have the firmware and app versions as yourself and i can't get them to work. multiman does become mmCm so i can tell mamba is functioning but that webman isn't. any help would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT: nvm, it didn't work. also for the life of me i have been trying to search tutorials in google but i get outdated results. would greatly appreciate if there's a tutorial or discussion board for this. thank you all

you just need to edit the mamba_plugins.txt. 1 line for each plugin to point towards the sprx file..

However,if you use the autoloader to load Mamba at startup, you need to move the mamba_plugins.txt to the root of your internal HDD:
/dev_hdd0/mamba_plugins.txt

For Webman, you can use the full ps3mapi cobra version of webMAN-MOD 1.42.01, copy the webftp_server_ps3mapi.sprx file to the root of your internal drive and add this line to the mamba_plugins.txt :
/dev_hdd0/webftp_server_ps3mapi.sprx

I suggest you do the same with PSNPatch so you can connect to PSN. The plugin v4.70.07 works perfectly. Again do it manually, copy the file psnpatch.sprx to the toot of your HDD & add another line to the mamba_plugins.txt:
/dev_hdd0/psnpatch.sprx

Hope it helps.
Good luck

where can i get a tutorial on how to properly build an ISO compatible with mamba/cobra???, it seems that I have been doing it wrong all this time...

thanks.

P.D.: I have a dead BD logic board port at my PS3 mainboard.

Use Multiman

+1 for PS3 ISO Tools. I've used it for a while for some old folder format games (60+ or so) Batch and individual and have even used it to patch to a lower firmware. Works great!

Still not sure what i'm doing wrong but it build the ISO, then I move it to my FAT32 PS3 under a folder named PS3ISO, webman sees it, try to make it work and it just says ERROR, also did the same with multiman and no go.

thanks.

Fat 32 work only with files under 4GB if you are put file +4GB on fat on to computer then you get error. Try put iso in to internal HDD to PS3ISO folder.

I suggest you open a specific topic for the subject and provide further details about the procedures being used.

First thing is good to made new topic with your problem, more people can help you. More info mean:

PS3 model, your current fw, backup is mounted in? (mM, wM, managuns, irisman) did you tryed different backup manager, app used to backup your game to iso, etc. Also i try figure out that iso work on no bd system. I never tested this so wait patient until i answer, and make new thread with your problem, which is not exactly related to MAMBA LOADER (+AUTOLOADER) i try to answer you there.

for PSX
· Iso (mode 2/2352).
· Cue+bin. Data track must be mode 2/2352.

for PS2
· DVD backups: iso files with 2048 bytes per sector.
· CD backups:
1. ISO files with 2048 or 2352 bytes per sector; CD backups with 2352 bytes per sector are more compatible.
2. Cue+bin: Data track must be mode 2/2352.

now for these PS2 and PSX games if you have a disc Use Imgburn to create the images or check that an existing image meets these specs

for PS3
use genPS3ISO GUI 2.5 by aldos to convert JB folder format games into ISO compatible with Cobra/Mamba
