PS3 Movian multiMAN Edition (Vv5.0.005) + Disc Access (v10.0) by deank

Developer deank has released another version of Movian (multiMAN Edition), we seen a few days ago when the developer updated multiMAN and Movian (mM Edition), since that update the official project of Movian that has progressed the homebrew media player to v5.0 (Stable) so deank has released v5.0.005 of his fork. This fork contains some minor modifications that makes Movian a bit more useful for multiMAN user's. When exiting Movian from the menu you are sent back to multiMAN rather then the XMB, Also deank has a modification to display your XMB videos within Movian.

Also deank has updated the Showtime Disc Access v10.0 for Movian, this mod has some great uses as well, giving Movian a bit more functionality..

Movian (multiMAN Edition) v5.0.005

These files are also available for download from the "UPDATE" Showtime option in XMMB Video column of multiMAN.

Movian for multiMAN Adds:
  • Adds: XMB videos and last folder visible in Showtime
  • Adds: Return to multiMAN when using the EXIT icon in to top right corner of main Showtime Interface

Since version 02.05.00 of multiMAN you can update your [strike]SHOWTIME[/strike] MOVIAN within multiMAN, by going to XMMB Video tab -> Press [TRIANGLE] while "Start Showtime" is selected -> UPDATE.

You can also update your showtime.self by deleting it from multiMAN's USRDIR folder and play a video - you'll be prompted to download the updated version. Be advised that in multiMAN versions 04.00.00+ SHOWTIME.SELF is located under USRDIR/sys folder.

NOTE FOR DEX PS3 USERS:
** You have to install the official CEX/CFW standalone version of Showtime [DEX] BEFORE starting multiMAN DEX for the first time

This SELF can be used in other homebrews like IRISMAN.

To use in multiMAN save the downloaded file as: /dev_hdd0/game/BLES80608/USRDIR/SHOWTIME.SELF

Am currently experiencing a strange issue. I tried the movian 5.0 cex package from Dean. (have not tried the DEX one yet).
I get either freezes or forced close most of the time during playback operation & especially on opening Internet streamed videos.
Does anyone know how to get the debug output from a pc if there is any btw?
Also, updates (whether stable/testing/bleeding edge) seem to be ok at first, the self reloads after download & it works (until I try to play a video!) but if you quit/reboot & start movian again, it crashes in the attempt. Cannot recall the error number just now.
I must reinstall the standard package to get movian to start again.
With the standard package I experience no particular problems whatsoever... Streaming or whatever, everything works fine...
I tried the operation several times taking care of deleting any remnants of previous installations but ended up with the same results.
I simply cannot get Dean's package to work properly whereas the standard official pkg works well.
This is happening to me on Rebug 4.78.2 with Cobra/wMM enabled.
Any ideas as to why this could be happening guys?

Here is the info about how to get the log file
https://movian.tv/projects/movian/wiki/Logging

Also you can try using Showtime_05.00.049_CEX.pkg or official Movian pkg.

Cool.
I will check the log & see what info I can get about those freezes.

Showtime_05.0.005_CEX.pkg is the pkg I have the problem with. I will try the 49 build in a couple of hours.

Official movian pkg works fine.
