Multi-Disc PSX games on HEN?

Sorry for also bumping this old thread, but I found a fix that works on my PS3 Super Slim for swapping PS1 discs. I'm running HFW 4.87.1, HEN, and webMAN MOD to remote swap the disc images. I just tried this a couple times with Chrono Cross and it worked!

The process was as follows:

I inserted disc 2 of Chrono Cross and selected new game. When the game prompts you to insert disc 1, OPEN THE DISC TRAY (this is the key step). Then go to the management page for webMAN MOD in your browser of choice. Click eject, then click the right link to follow through after it gives you an error. Then go to your games, then click the disc 1 image for Chrono Cross. Click through the right link again after the error. Your PS3 super slim should recognize the disc and take you to the name entry screen. Closing the disc tray at this point isn't necessary, but still a good idea to protect the disc drive.

I think this is the main hold-up for super slim owners. The original fat and slim models had an eject motor that could be controlled with software, but the super slim has this physical tray that trips a switch telling the system if it's closed or not.

I was searching for hours last night and couldn't find anything mentioning this. Hope this helps someone!

I should clarify all of this was done with disc images stored locally on my PS3 Super Slim HDD. No part of the process involved putting a physical disc into my disc drive.

Sorry for bumping this old thread but i want to do this too and can't send you a private message @Major_Pothead92 . Did you do this for US or EU version?

NTSC / US. There's a youtube video in one of the replies located here (last post.)https://gbatemp.net/threads/trouble-with-multi-disk-eboot-pbp-backups.531275/#post-8512984

I used the EBOOT.PBP provided in the video description for SLUS_01318. Made a PKG with that and resigned on a computer, then installed on the PS3. If I remember correct there won't be any cutscene's in the first half of the game. Not a big deal can just use Disc 1 for the first half and then the PKG for the rest of the game.
