MY_PS3-SLIM-E3-FLASHER-MOD

I'm having a go at 2 of my cech L01 consoles today. If it works out I'll be doing many more. I've been stockpiling slim and phat nor consoles. I got all kind of goodies to show when I'm done with my white one, a lot of the pics won't upload and need resizing.

Upload your pics to Imgur
It's a free site with unlimited views
When you upload you then click on the image to get the link
Select the BB code one and paste it into your thread

Hey I am going to try this project. Do you think this would work on a CECH2501A?
I believe it depends on the date code of the console. Use minverchk to see what lowest ofw console cant go down to, even if it's 3.56 it may still have a hackable metldr, just can go down to 3.55. You dump it, then patch for no fsm and install a cfw higher than your current ofw

No my PS3 is already jailbroken. This project just looks like fun and I have a E3 Flasher just sitting around. I just want to make sure my model board has the proper pins. (My PS3 goes down to 3.40)

You have the same model as in the OP. So of course it will work.

The 04 and 01 in the model #s is only the region code. 01 is North America.

Have do you keep the soldered cables to look like this? Is that why you have tape on them? Do you start by soldering [the white cables] to closes point or to far ones, to the left?

The tape is used to keep the cables well in place together. It makes it look cleaner & it helps to avoid putting stress on individual soldering points.
As to the order, for practical reasons, you should probably start with the closest ones otherwise you will have less & less space to solder as you go along as the cables already soldered would get in the way.
You could decide to do all the mobo soldering first & do the furthest away points first but then you would need to bend the cables in the opposite direction to which you ultimately want them to be placed, to keep them out of the way while you are working. Personally I tend to avoid that if I can.
