Hello bguerville! Yes, I can confirm this works. Sorry for not saying anything before but I was too busy and I wanted to test it very well. Since December I think, I can't remember exactly when, I'm using Netflix without login in each time I use it. I'm using the last CFW Cobra and one ps3 with the last and official EU Netflix version and the other with US version. I didn't do any special, just login first time in PSN, I logged in in my Netflix account, saw content and turn off. The next time I tried it it worked whithout any login step. I was testing and I found (like Joonie said in the other thread) there is a CACHE folder what is associated with the PSID or console ID because when I use spoof Netflix tell me something like: you can't transfer data from another system, it erase the CACHE folder and I have to login again in PSN.

I don't know if I'm telling you something new but this is what I found.

@marfoldi I found that it's possible to use the Spotify app on your PS3 if you have another device to send music to it. I use my android phone to start playing music and then select my PS3 for playback within the Spotify app on my phone. At that point, it starts playing on the PS3 and the app actually opens. Try that out.

Sounds promising, however I can't even login in to my Spotify account, is there a workaround for that? Or should I enable PSN until the first login?

No need to login to Spotify on your PS3. Once you select the PS3 to stream to, it will start streaming to it. At least it did for me when I tested this a few months back. I'll see if it's still working for me here later.

Indeed, I was able to start streaming from my phone, unfortunately it still shows the black screen with the Spotify logo, but at least I can hear the music and can switch between songs from my phone. Maybe an older version doesn't have the PSN check so strictly. I'll try to find an older version.

I have not used this app since October 2016 so it's possible that it's been updated.
If it's the case, let me know, I will look into it when I can.
Alternatively you have 2 other options.
1. you can apply spoofing by extracting the nopsn pkg & editing param.sfo with the editor to change the app version to the updated one then rebuild the pkg & install it. Use ps3 tools collection from aldostools to do all this.
2. Install the nopsn pkg then spoof by using ftp to edit with param.sfo editor to change the app version in the param.sfo file directly in its installation directory in /dev_hdd0/game then use rebuild database either from the recovery menu or from the shortcut link in the wMM Setup page.

It has been updated to 4.xx 3.03 has skipping issues and low res now because of update

Ok. Are you able to extract pkg & patch files if I give you instructions?
It's only a text file to edit then repack the pkg.
You need to get hold of the 4.x pkg file though...
Am on holiday so either you wait a few days until I come back or you try patching the new version yourself.
No guarantee that the patch will still work though!

Use either ps3 tools collection or TA Pkg Rebuilder from our Resources section.
Extract the pkg, with an editor, open the file: /USRDIR/data/config/spark.cfg.sdat
Modify Line 21 this way (line number may have changed in new version)
Code: 
"requirePSN" : true
must be replaced

Save the file & rebuild the pkg.
Voilà...
 
Ok, Youtube app from #639 works perfectly.. both
Spotify app from #643 hmmm so close.. it opens the login page, but a second later it breaks on a Spotify screen then says it can't connect to the servers ou whatever... haven't tried the phone workaround though.....

Though I have installed it, then set it all up (1.13), then upgraded to 1.14 from the ps3 itself, it worked fine BUT end up with two icons of Netflix. So... from the browser I've transferred all content from folder NPUP00030 to NPEB00874 and restarted the PS3. After Reboot, all files cracked and I end up with nothing... and then I used an old pkg 2.26 (no-psn) US from this forum, updated from ps3 itself to 2.27, and voilá... NPUP00030 2.27 full functioning (and only US version installed)! :D

Of course, I don't know if you neeeed to do exactly like I did here, but I'm just saying how I did so the brain smarts here can make a sense of all this, lol.... it's working greatly! <3

Tried that and didn't work for me... Could you make a pkg file for Netflix 2.27 and post it here, please? I don't know if this works that way, but i'm having such a bad time trying to figure it out how to make it work :(

Follow this one as he stated it works just as well as US version and no problem logging in

and the logging is on no PSN version do not log out just quit app
update and you log in auto with newest version
