PS3 Official Update v4.90 is Live! Official CFW/HFW Released!

Hi, just checking if someone encountered issues loading Blu-ray PS3 game disc after update 4.90?
I have 3 x PS3s and can confirm that all 3 were reading disc fine under 4.89.
- PS3 slim CECH-2000B updated with Evilnat 4.90 CEX does not read disc anymore.
- PS3 slim CECH-3006B updated with Official firmware 4.90 from PSN does not read disc anymore.
- PS3 FAT CECHA01 still on Evilnat 4.89 can read still read disc.
It exhibits the same pattern, the disc seems to reload 20~30s after first insert but nothing shows on XMB, no errors, nothing.

Edit: So apparently it is need to enter new activation code for Blu-ray as per below screenshot, the description on how to obtain the code is far from clear if someone knows how to proceed from here?

to upgrade from HFW 4.89 to 4.90 HFW, do I need to update 4.90 official fist then 4.90 HFW or can I update to 4.90 HFW directly?

If your console is a superslim, PS3 slim 30xx or 25xx with min firmware 3.60 or higher, you will have to repair your the ps3 bluray drive or get another working console. There is not HFW noBD.

If your console is CFW compatible, you first need to jailbreak it using ps3toolset.com, then install Evilnat 4.90 PEX noBD

CFW compatible models are: all PS3 phat, PS3 slims 20xx, 21xx and some 25xx with min firmware 3.56 or lower.

If your console already has HEN installed and the bluray drive is not working. It is recommended to stay in that firmware version until you repair your drive.
