Doesnt seem to me - and yeah, english template is outdated on Ifcaro.

I thought that the generic cache mechanism, which is used for USB devices and SMB shares, has no actual disadvantages. So there is no reason for the user to disable it.
That option was actually only added for the HDD game cache, as that cannot be automatically maintained by OPL. We need to have some way to tell if a game was changed, but yet we also want to avoid scanning the HDD.
