Original PS3 Gameboot & Sounds [4.80 - 4.86 CFW ONLY]

PS3 Original PS3 Gameboot & Sounds [4.80 - 4.86 CFW ONLY] 1.01

Yeah @CypherCG_89,where is my 2nd Wave and my Gameboot? You are failing the Mate Service [emoji23][emoji23]

Here is the new wave... sparks only appear during the gameboot....NO startup sparks, user select sparks, XMB sparks, music player sparks or any other visable sparks until you boot an app or game. I might make a few more small alterations in the future...

pretty small. are the backgrounds black? btw, you can create a zip file like this PS3~dev_blind~vsh~resource~qgl.zip as a mounting point.

that's only if no other files are being replaced.

Yes there all black. I have also made an RCO which has all the original timings for the animations, after 2.80 they were extended to stupid times( and disbaled lol, don't see the logic in that really), a few things were added which will be kept for the Slim style Gameboot but for this one am going for 100% original. Will be adding the RCO and waves to the resource at some point.

PS3~dev_blind~vsh~resource~qgl.zip as a mounting point.

Yeah I know, its just the way I have quickly packed it into the zip file.

but where is my Custom Gameboot

Custom...? How the f@ck would it be custom if its restored to original settings lol = 100% original animations. :rolling: Come on lad wake up and smell the coffee lol.

Got the timings perfect now with a new RCO so thats to be uploaded. For the rest am most likely guna have to look at patching the SPRX again or make a new patch altoghter maybe.

Some update about control the gameboot? For exemple, when starts a PS2 game, appears only the PS2 gameboot.

PS2 Gameboots are built into the PS2 game itself so will appear whatever you do.

As for the rest this is what am working on to make it back to 100% original. A new patch is most likely needed and this takes time.

yes, just like PS1 games are built into the disc, which I thought would be the same as ps3, because if it were, it would be much harder to do that. I'm glad you're working on it. Thanks for the answer!

I just found something, i dont know how it works but is related with the gameboots and seems to be very important

I opened all the main .xml files from all the rco's of 4.84 firmware in notepad++
Then i did search for the string <Page name="page_gameboot"
There are 4 different rcoxml files with that same page name:

-------------------------------------------------

custom_render_plugin.rco
<Page name="page_gameboot" have only 1 children named <Plane name="ps3logo"

You know this one.. there are a couple of big pages in wiki with a complete changelog of all official firmware versions
https://www.psdevwiki.com/ps3/Custom_render_plugin
https://www.psdevwiki.com/ps3/XMB_Layouts

game_plugin.rco
<Page name="page_gameboot" have only 1 children named <Plane name="ps3logo_back_color"

game_ext_plugin.rco
<Page name="page_gameboot" have only 1 children named <Plane name="ps3logo_back_color"

gamelib_plugin.rco
<Page name="page_gameboot" have 1 children named <Plane name="ps3logo_back_color"
<Page name="page_gameboot" have 1 children named <Plane name="ps3logo"
*This rco have his own <AnimTree> with an <Animation name="anim_gameboot"> (pretty much the same made by custom_render_plugin.rco)

Sorry by bad english, because i'm brazilian and my english is a shit. [emoji16]

Using files from old firmwares in a new firmware doesnt uses to work, is needed to take a look at that files from old firmwares and compare with 4.84 to see if they changed something related with the gameboots in them... pretty much what @Cypher_CG89 did with custom_render_plugin.rco

But additionally the 4 rco files i mentioned looks like candidates to make some experiments with them, basically it looks there are 4 gameboots in the whole PS3 firmware, and everyone of them seems to be triggered by a different game type
So initially you could take the <animTree> from custom_render_plugin.rco and add it to the others (and modify it a bit to make it different)

Yeah I noticed this in the game_ext_plugin.rco and game_plugin.rco. Didn't notice it in the gamelib_plugin though. I will have a look at these as there could be some signifcance to things.

Also from 2.80 rco of custom render there have been some things added to the main xml of this rco over the years which are interesting.

yes, the files seem to check the second you press X to start the game. interesting...
