PS1, PS2, PSP and PS3 Games on CFW REBUG

i don't know why would you use such a method for psx games, backups are working fine in all well known managers, irisman gives the most options (scaling, emu selection...).

PSX Launcher its obsolete, Webman Launcher or Multiman takes care of that as well, by using the designated PS1EMU.self (Offical Emulation), giving you options such as scaling and other options that you might find useful.

The path for the mount via Webman/Multiman its as follows: HDD0/PSXISO, if the machine its Jailbroken all regions are acceptable for Playback (PAL/NTSC-U/J)

About the saves, if they are PS3 Virtual Memory Card format or PSV, and you have them on your PC, you can simply put the saves according to this path: USB/PS3/EXPORT/PSV/(Place PS1/PS2 PSV Save Formata Inside)

Because i was said that Irisman is obselete now in 2019 and the guy told me to only use webman , wich worked just fine for NTSC PSX game ....but im ABLE to boot PAL games wich PSX launcher very well , but sadly didnt allowed me to attribute a slot for my saves
thats why , but i think i will erase PSX launcher and use Irisman only for PAL PSX-PS2 games now....

I use Webman but was no help for PAL PSX-PS2 Games when it come time to actually attribute saves location (already done on XMB)
I managed to find HOW to create saves files for ALL my PS1 PAL games on the USB stick passing throuht IRISMAN (yahooo!) but now i installed APE ESCAPE 2 (EUROPE) for its french language on my USB under a file named PS2ISO , but once on webman i clicked on the game icon and it automatically installed on HDD_PS2ISO file (I completely forgot that we cannot play PS2 game on USB support) I said " well....ok.."
I start the game but as soon the game start it say a message that the game dont detect memory card / slots ....(wich is done on XMB) ...weird....how i can create PS2 Save for this game ?? EDIT : lol , i just managed to understand i HAVE to attribute my PS2 save slot the #1 ....it dont work if it have #2 slot) it work now ......what a relief !!!!!! LOL

depends on the games and what options do you need, honestly plain old quick and easy way with webman MOD is fine in most cases...i've however found that scaling to 16:9 in irisman works better with my oled tv than stock sony one,but your mileage may vary and maybe you prefer original scaling and/or your display's built in scaler, then there's no need to use anything other than wmM.

irisman however is really indispensable piece of homebrew for cfw's,it does so much more stuff than psx launching.

edit: by psx and ps2 'Save' what exactly do you mean?virtual memory cards are working fine,i don't follow where do you have trouble?i also have various PAL,J and NTSC psx and ps2 backups and never had any trouble with them, all created in xmb and i keep vmm for psx games in slot 1 and vmm for ps2 games in slot 2 and everything works without single issue for as long as i can remember.

....I should add that is VERY important for me to keep my PAL games on USB support because i really suspect them to have caused my internal 2TB HDD crash 6 months ago ....now i feel more SAFE to play them via my USB. it exist a solution to play PS2 ISO on a NTSF External HDD ??

Normally i only use webman MOD (perfect for all NTSC games) but when it come to PAL ....things get tricky/bugy quickly.
I have a GOOD question for you , are you able to download METAL GEAR SOLID (EUROPE) SLES-01506 disc 1 and run it flawlessly ?
I explain myself more clearly : Im Canadien but speak french natively , I beated this game over 30 times in NSTC English but for the last 10 years , i try to play its PAL FRANCE (French Audio) version , I bought it physically from europe and digitally from PSN europe but each time i try it .....the introduction cinematic with the submarine passing just in front the camera is laggy (just a little bit) ..the gameplay is flawless but i would like to know HOW to adjust/tweek things on CFW in order to have fluide cinematic synchro with audio. ?? its possible ??

The Emulator itself has the options, when you load a game, just press the PS Button like a normal game.

Multiman its a file Launcher and Manager, not a Emulator.

I own both Physical and Digital Versions of Metal Gear Solid (PAL), and these hick ups are normal, it was the way that the game was designed around the hardware, it behaves the same on a Original PlayStation, PlayStation2, PlayStation3, PlayStation Portable or PlayStation Vita the difference its none.

The PS Emulation for the PlayStation was designed to be closest to the original hardware as possible, so don't expect ePSXe level upscaling/upres! The framerate of any PlayStation Game its about 20fps no more, you are simply asking for 4K Upres like ePSXe when, the emulator will never deliver that. You are lucky that feature it even exists, in that case play it on the PlayStation Classic, and i can guarantee, you will not butcher the PlayStation3 as much.

The Smoothing feature only applies a smoothing filter to smooth out the image, so the picture doesn't look too raw to the eyes, but the internal resolution remains 240p, personally i never saw benefit, as its more noticeable of PlayStation2 Titles with the CECHC/E Models.

Don't forget that PlayStation Games use region encoding for displays output, 60Hz for the NTSC-U/NTSC-J and 50Hz for PAL, so PAL games will behave slower than they're NTSC counterparts.

Yup , i experience them on Modded PS2 , PS3 (digital or physical copy) , PSP too
It should exist an option to actually tweek the files (Bin/Cues/Iso/Image) and transfert them PAL to NTSC format running 60Hz .....

I mean , if the Dreamcast console was able to emulate/play the original PAL Discs FLAWLESSLY with the Metal Gear Solid "Bleemcast" Booting Disc .....its sure that someone that know what he are doing could manage a way to play the PAL iso flawlessly on a PS3 console too !! Only a matter of time/interest from somes good PS3 Hackers , im sure about it !

Bleemcast, plays these titles at the same framerate as the original hardware. PlayStation Games framerate cannot be altered.

Bleemcast only worked with NTSC-U Copies, and emulation wasn't perfect, couple of titles could still display issues.

With each post, i am getting more confused, the PS3 already has a dedicated PlayStation Emulation, and you are asking for more, bringing a Dreamcast into the mix. You want to play Metal Gear Solid at 60fps, on a Hardware that its not even capable, and with impossible framerate alteration. If you want to play Metal Gear Solid at higher resolutions and framerates, get the PC version, and yes there its a Windows Port of Metal Gear Solid, which its the solution for all of your problems.

Region conversion is possible (with Patch-It for example) but won't fix your problem.

Lol, did you actually play Bleemcast on a real Dreamcast or did you watch youtube video's? There's a reason why there are only 3 discs: not everything did run flawlessly. Japanese Cake is currently working on removing the protection of the retail bleemcast discs, i expect that compatibility will grow in time....but then you still have the controller problem. If you want ''FLAWLESSLY'' pal psx games, try ports of the same game on other system's just like @Naked_Snake1995 suggested.

Any help would be nice. I cant seem to get the ps2 emulation option in the rebug tool box. It says I toggled cobra mode. I reboot. And still nothing. I cant figure out how to launch ps2 to save my life

To Launch a PS2 Format Software, simply dump your titles to HDD0/PS2ISO, and launch them via Webman or Multiman.

I think you need to switch to mmcm while in multiman for the iso to appear as well. I don't think it can display ps2 classics and isos at the same time, but webman mod can.

I get the iso to appear. But when I launch it the screen goes off then to black. My controller shuts off. Then a second later a screen comes up that says start up application error.

Is there a way to add more memory for the ps2 card on ps3.. Cuz I'm tryna play time splitters fp on mapmaker but it runs out to quick?

Hi,

Please bare with me this is my first time. I've managed to change my PS3 Slim firmware to CFW Rebug. Now I've been able to play PS1 and PSN games, but I cannot seem to load PS2, PSP and PS3 games. I already have webman installed and for PS2 it saying that PS2 Classic Placeholder is not installed, for PSP it says PSP Launcher is not installed (while I tried to load it thru Multiman). I'm very noob on this as it's been awhile since I came back from the CFW scene. I hope someone could help me.

I've heard that 16MBs is possible, but I don't know how stable it is. beyond that, it's suggested not to. btw, you can create more memory cards iirc, just change slots when you need to.
