PS2 Xenosaga emulation help

  • ICO - minor issue, god rays are still missing
This is only known mipmap dependent issue for this game. I'm not sure, but i think it is also valid issue for netemu.

Nice, this make things easy :D

Go to /dev_hdd0/savedata/vmc and just copy your VM2 files (those are memory cards) to PC. Pack them with rar, zip, or not pack at all. And finally upload them to any host (mega, zippyshare, mediafire), and post link here.

Here you go =)

I have another save there for KOF 2002 unlimited match, I don't know if that's a problem

On the previous post you can check MD5 if needed

There are 2 saves, which one is good one, and where i need to go?
It's the first one (it is located in "Kukai") and the problem happens when you exit the town to the right, get to the map and try to access the bottom left area, called "AGWS shop"

@Realrj Ok. Bad news, and good news. Good one is that i was able to go there without lock. Bad news is that game require few fixes for that, and creating proper fix will be real p.i.t.a.

Game require fix for all of those functions separately. And sadly i don't have time to look for them all. :(

Code:
UnduDataGetHeaderSub
UnduDataGetHeader
UnduParamInit
UnduCheckSub
UnduCheckSubHeightCheck
UnduCheckSubCheckAll
CheckWallAttr
UnduCheckSubCrossCheck
UnduCheckResultCheck

What is even worst, all of those functions have ton of floats calculations.
So this time i have only workaround for you. If you ever need go to that place, use attached config. After doing what you need to do there, save game, remove config, and play game as usual without config from freshly made save. Game in city will be very slow while config is used, removing it will make it normal speed again.

How to:

  • Extract zip file, place CONFIG file into dev_hdd0/PS2ISO. Don't rename it!
  • Play game like described above
  • After leaving Robot Academy save game
  • Remove, or rename config
  • Load game, play as usual.

This is all i can do for you now.

Man... How can I EVER repay you at all... You just helped me relive my childhood's best moments playing this game.

I am so thankful you can't even imagine :D

One day if I'm rich, you'll be the first In my list

I added config to wiki (workaround, don't have time to create/test proper one): https://www.psdevwiki.com/ps3/index.php?title=PS2_Emulation&curid=9646&diff=52406&oldid=52401

Config fix this issue (fast forward to 2:56):
And yep, it is another game that can be fully finished using ps2_netemu, but not using ps2_gxemu. ;)
But but but..... now my 60Gb its considerate inferior in PlayStation 2 Playback, but its nice to see improvements made in the Net_Emu scene, although i was a bit skeptical, about the limited compatibility from start :)

I am still curious if Ratchet & Clank can be fixed in the GX_Emu, which runs slow :D

Hello, guys! I know this thread's been old, but could you help me, too? I'm playing the same game, but I've installed it by .pkg . I can't find the game folder. If I remember well, I have the Europe version. It's number is SLUS20469. Will this file also work for me?
