PS3 PS3 CECHC - 04 - 60Gb - Optimal temperature

so mounting mechanism doesn't allow even 1mm of added tolerance?even clamped down heatsink still hovers above chip?

i have 60gb in 36% and normally stays in 52 CPU and RSX 56 in gran turismo 6 and the last of us are good temps ? what max temperature can hold the 60gb ps3 ? it's safe if temps go to 66 or 69 ?

CECHC have older silicon process so it will run hotter than the slim ones.

if you can run the fan a little faster you can drop it as low as 60c (80-100% fan speed) on both cell and rsx, that as far as I can get when I still own a CECHC console back then, I can still remember that I get around 70-77c on both cell and rsx on CECHC console easily without any custom fan speed.

While both my slim, 25xx with CFW and have its own custom fan curve can go as low as 40c and 43c (cell adn rsx) while my slim 3xxx can go around 60c without any kind of fan mod, but with ez chill fan mod, yeah I drop the temps around 36-40c.

Yes, the VRAMs are taller than the RSX Core, thats why there is the IHS to compensate for that 1mm tall gap, unless you make a square block, like the Super Slims, you can exclude the IHS all together.

so,ideal solution is to use good compound on the graphics core just for the added transfer and focus on cell because anyway it's hotter than the two and governs fan curve...time to buy couple of tools and some liquid metal and test my theory. :)
