PS3 HEN questions

Hi! i joined few minutes ago. I have a ps3 superslim, at OFW 4.85 latest HEN.

Can I rip ps2 games from a disc to my pc and patch them to play on my ps3? Planning to play MGS2 substance and MGS3 subsistance now, the HD editions are awful tho im an OG.

If someone here actually knows (No sussy members tho lol jk) answer this.

BTW, are the PAL versions of those games supported? i dont have a phat model

A few things you should know about running PS2 games on PS3:
- They need to be stored in internal memory (hdd0)
- (For HEN) They need to be encrypted in a special manner.
- For better compatibility, you should use a CONFIG file for your game (either an official one, or one prepared by the community).

You can encrypt your ISOs using PS2 Classics GUI on PC (on Windows), or use Apollo Save Tool on PS3. I think you can also encrypt (and rip) your games with MultiMAN, but I personally used the feature.

Once you have your encrypted game, it needs to be stored on the PS2ISO folder internally. If you use webMAN-Mod and try to mount your ISO from an external drive, it'll automatically copy your game to hdd0 and run it. WebMAN mod will also include a config file for your game automatically (if the Auto Config option is enabled), or you can include it manually by naming the file the same as yout encrypted ISO, and copying it to the same path (more info here).

I recommend dont play ps2 on ps3 bc it push pressure on it buy a cheap ps2 then use it ps3 is weak under pressure and geting heat soon
