PS3 Pkg splitting issue

hi guys,
i was wondering how you can split ps3 pkg files so i can install then directly.using this link i was able to split the files using the first method many times but now the split pkg option does not appear in the right click menu so is there any fix for this.the second method dosent work as the tool splits the game in hundreds of 100kb parts which is annoying.if there is any fix available then tell me.btw it stooped showing up after windows updated

Try moving the tools and the game to a path that don't contain spaces, parenthesis or any other special character.
That is for the full path, not just the subfolders.

for some reason this dosent work and only two option show up,split file/hash file.the split file option opens ps3 file splitter and its only for mulitman and cfw but it cant output pkg files.first it used to work and i did split 18gb and 24 gb files succesfully, idk why it refuses to work

yes,the context menu.i tried clearing the registry and used ccleaner but in vain.it seems though the tool isnt able to write properly to the registry of the context menu

it's possible that the addition to the context menu is still there, but the file isn't being recognized. I'd suggest trying another package.

I suppose it's possible that a windows update screwed something up, but this is the first time I've heard of that happening. I'm not sure what to suggest. when something happens to my laptop, I either try a restore point or reflash a disk image (from before this started happening). I actually made a backup disk image to two external drives (need to make another since the ssd install and reinstall of the os). maybe one of those options will work in getting it back to the way it was.

i know but i cant do it.lose all my data and dont have the time to backup 400gb of data.but thanks.two companies who like to screw with us enthusiasts, sony and microsoft.windows update sucks.and um do you have a method by which i can connect my laptop directly using cable to my ps3 using pkg linker as i dont have an extra router laying around.thanks for the advice.

@pinky i suppose that there are commands for ps3 content id.exe,if yes then can you tell me how to use them, and maybe @aldostools can update his tool so that it shows these options in the tool rather than in the context menu.

Ok guys,I have found a way to fix this issue, just follow these steps
1. Uninstall your ps3 tools collection or delete the folder where you installed it.
2. Reinstall it to a directory where you are going to keep it.
3. After installation, navigate to your installation folder and then to the "registry patches" folder.
4. In that folder,click on "remove ps3tools files association.reg".
5. Go back to the main installation folder and delete a file called "commands.log".
6. Go to any package file and click "properties" and then "open with",then navigate to installation folder and select "pkg_content id.exe".
7. Now run "pkg_content id.exe" as administrator.
8. Also run pkgview.exe as administrator.
This should work.
@pinky maybe you can share it to anyone who may have this issue,Thanks for the info
Btw i found it this method while messing with registry and files
