Hi everybody,

First of all, the ps3 pro Mod is a great project and must have been hard work so far. There is a lot of passion in it, you can feel it clearly (I'm also never satisfied if I get my hands on a new system for modifying ... but yes, I have to be honest, the 5.1 version looks like an unfinished Project .... there is a little too much stuff in there which leads to several issues as you modify the system as a PS3 Jailbreak Newbie ..... Forgive me: I decompressed your pkg file and edited a few XML's by myself to create a hybrid version of your old versions and the 5.1 version + added a couple of self-made icons ... (I'm still testing / playing around with it)

in short words... yes, some parts of the 5.1 version are shot over the target line and a are bit annoying (you only wanted to pease everyone with it I know), but despite that, you shouldn't condemn the entire project ... Keep it up boy, I find your work here very brilliant

By the way: I am currently a bit busy but if it helps and not ends up in a 3 day project to translate everything I can possibly help with the German translation (my programming skills are only hobby leveled but at least I can offer my help (you only hve to say me how to do it xD ( I mean wich parts I have to translate))

What features seems unfinished? so i can fix and polish it, but in v.5.3 :P i'm done with the v5.2, just waiting translations

request can you make a folder called/named to PSN Games and point it to dev_hdd0/game please as in older versions of your mod i was able to atleast creat folders and go into each game and categorize them besides what was already categorized by default PS3 PS2 PS PSP and games like minus or remastered psp games i would put in folder PSN Games not being selfish or anything but i create game covers for all folder games and isos except for those remastered or minus as they look decent and would love to keep it that way and when installing those said psn type games i have to tick scan dev_hdd0/game to see those games and they automatictly go in to the ps3 games folder then i will have 3d cover psn default and so on thanks in advance or you can allow editing of any xmls if that is where the folders info is again thanks in advance and keep up the great work i will live

You still can create folders under XMB games item/folders, you just need to hit install to change the view or create the folders there.

or if you like the normal game column go to FILE MANAGER/CUSTOMIZATION OPTIONS/ GAME COLUMN and set it to ORIGINAL
 
Ok, but don't take it too hard ... As I said, I'm a big fan of your mod and I'm proud and happy to be part of the team now with the upcoming version(s) :) :)

1. The annoying beep that sounds like an error signal when the PlayStation comes out of the cold boot and sarts the boost Mode (which you already fixed in 5.2, as I read (sry, that was really a bad function (just made the impression the PS3 would have found a few big bugs, is almost dying, but it still works like this (just doesn't fit the mod's image)

2. The uninstaller
I was upset and had problems with 5.1, so I uninstalled it again. After that I installed an earlier version, because I just don't wanted to damn the complete Mod only because of some bugs (but then I realized that all dev_blind files were only reset to the original CFW data by the uninstallation program, but some unused files (like your own PS3 4K Pro symbols) are still there ( even after full system formatting, the files can still be found there) - don't know if it's possible to encode it correctly, but I just wanted to mention that.

3. I think some of your XMB customization options don't work, or at least not the way you probably thought of how they should work (for example, when I first installed the 5.1 mod and reset the gaming column to the original PS3 .. I suddenly had two file managers (after system formatting it is now normal and I can no longer reproduce the error sry (but I do not want to challenge it either, I have to admit)))

4. Don't think it's your fault, but on my own CECHC04 NAND PS3 the installation process takes about 50 minutes each time I restore, install or update the app and suddenly jumps from 0% to 100%. On other PS3 consoles that I've jailbroken for my family, the copying process only takes about 5-10 minutes and work normally - I don't know why ... it's mysterious xD

1 - The beeps are controversial, some people liked the feature, as I did a survey in a group of whatsapp and others didn't, most said to keep it, but to make all users happy, I've made an ENABLE / DISABLE option in the firmware settings and customization options, just to make sure the user easily finds it.

2 - About the Uninstaller, I know, i just set it to replace the custom files with the Original ones
but this is due to the limitation of the XAI_PLUGIN as you can see here

It currently allows only 3 operations in a single command, so the only solution I got was to replace the original files using 2 operations and the remaining one to rename the file manager folder to "DELETE", because the INSTALLER makes an error when finding the File Manager files on the hard drive (the Source and Destination have different sizes) preventing installation.

It may change in the futere, if the XAI plugin got updated;

3 - Hmm, that's something interresting, which firmware are you on? Cex or Dex? at least in CEX it works good, but since DEX in another xml i could have made a mistake .

4 - It's a known issue, on NAND consoles the installation takes way way wayyy more time, i don't know the cause of this issue since the Installer is not mine it's from the XMBM+ TEAM.

The easiest way is to go to Webman Settings and enabling it by checking its box

Hit SELECT +R3 while in-game to record and SELECT +R3 to stop it

It only works on games that don't use a lot of system resources.


The files are stored in dev_hdd0/

I'm on DEX (currently I'm in REBUG 4.84 DEX I think xD) ... Mhhh maybe it is a failure caused by a previous version I installed before the system formatting I don't know :D
