I was thinking of that kinda stuff but i would need to make the PKG as ISO.

but you can use the PS3 Collection Mod by @0_obeWAN since i don't have any other modification on xmb_plugin.rco and the in game one, you can use it to change the PSN icon, it has plenty of them to choose. =)

Idk if has the anonymous but I will have a look. Remove Read Manga Online xD
 
Obviously when installing a mod that changes all the things you other mods will be replaced .

Please read what the mod does before giving bad reviews and complain about obvious things.

The Uninstall should uninstall fine, what kind if error it gaves to you??

This mod main function (I think) is giving PS3 4k support, which doesn't work. I don't see a diffrence between 1080p and 2160p in XMB with this mod, and PS3 still reports 1080p to the TV.

EDIT: I've looked some more, and it turns out, that PS3 DOESN'T support 4k even from hardware. 4k needs at least HDMI 2.0 to fully work in 60hz. The HDMI 1.3 port that PS3 has, will only support 30hz (when North America has 60hz refresh rate and Europe has 50hz). So your mod is outright FAKE.

Its meant to be visual stuff only, so yes the 4k option is fake. That should be made more clear IMO. I suspect lots of people think this is giving them actual boost mode and 2160p.
 
Why would anyone think that if most games are 720p at best that the PS3 could do 4k
Even my PSPRO4 sometimes has problems at 4k so why anyone would think 4k is true on PS3 is fooling themselves.:oie 19113229e8ymug9p::sco hmmthink::randqalan:
 
Maybe but why PS2 can do 1080p but worthless in game
So possible but unlikely it pushes the max mem and RX so these means slow downs in XMB and possible bugs.

So conclusion no for games maybe 1080p but usually for games remakes and no for games of this gen for proper frame rate

Lots of people do not have a great understanding of computers, to us it may seem obvious. Also its probably made even more confusing because the PS3 CAN output 4k photos to certain Sony displays.

Remember I showed a PS4 game running on PS3. It was just a edited video showing a PS4 game on PS4, and still people believed those were PS3 graphics, people will take what they read on here as being true.

Also it is technically possible to overclock the PS3 GPU, so Boost mode could be real in theory.

when you advice me to make it clear , i did not rewrite the thread main page but i added this

It's on the Notes section saying it's meant for fun, since when i first created the mod, i made only the "PRO" version, but since $ONY had a 4K PRO logo in some places some ppl asked me to add that one, so i made the second version, and since it had 4k in the name, i renamed the strings to match it and that's all.

And the main function of the mod is in the MAIN thread "Give Your XMB a Fresh New Look" not "Give your ps3 a 4K Resolution"

Any news about the GPU OC? i was watching the other thread that you guys was talking about it, at least let the GPU with the Defaul clock that was meant to have.

But maybe it will not have significant impact since the ps3 graphics power resides in the CELL processor

If it was me, and I was adding fake dummy options like boost mode and 2160p, I would make it very clear at the top in bold red, not a little note in black last on a list of other not very important notes. its obviously more important than the trophy icon notes etc.

No, it would need to be reversed, and we have only have the syscon key for DECRs and fats now so would be for those only. Maybe someone will do it someday, it would be nice option alright.

So change "ADDED: 2160p resolution in the output settings" to "CHANGED: 1080p to 2160p in the output settings" because "ADDED" is misleading if somebody hasn't read notes. About that error, it was "no disk space to copy that file"

But do you have enought free space? note that the system says it even you have some gigas left, you need to have at least 5Gb or more

I have at least 60 GB system. And I don't play PS2 games, since need to be stored on internal HDD, and it was coping to dev_flash I think
