If the one in the op, I had to install .net 1.1 to get the app to run. If mine, I was able to successfully install on windows 10 x64 fresh, using only the exe i supplied.

Or you can launch the app and immediately press and hold :but tri: until the PS3 beeps and returns to the XMB (Screen will remain black the whole time.) This will disable the SYSCAL's as well.

You can do the same but instead of pressing :but tri: this time press and hold :but square: and it will spoof your IDPS and PSID (if you have a config file set up with this info in it.

To "Disbale syscals & spoof IDPS, PSID" press and hold :but x:. The screen should remain black the whole time at all time and then the console should beep then return to the XMB.

Just a few more shortcut keys for PSN Patch...:D

Yeah its handy thing to use so you don't "accidentally" sign into PSN without disabling the syscals:-p

The way I have setup is just a simple hold triangle till the beep then sign in. Everything else is done at boot of the PS3. Nice and simple lol.

I wonder if we can rename the button that says "Automatically download...." to "Accidentally download..."
 
I need help to progress. I need pictures of the network setup process (mostly for purposes of tutorial) but my camera SUCKS.
I don't need the actual details inside, but it's the screens. Most importantly the one where you say to use or not use the proxy, and the screen that pops up when you say use. It's not required, but if I can give you the walkthrough step by step with pictures, it'll make things a lot easier :)

Which screen's? PC or PS3?
 
I also have a test build that might be a regression of changes, but it is built on WPF
Thinking of making this the "lite" version. :)
 
I have also found you can keep windows defender firewall enabled if you run the following command (as administrator)
netsh advfirewall firewall add rule name="Open Port 8080" dir=in action=allow protocol=TCP localport=8080
 
The one where you select "Use or Do not Use" on proxy, and the proxy screen that says server and port are the most important
If you want to include the "whole setup" of screens, i can include that also and make it more thorough

Will this work with an OFW 4.83 PS3?

I don't have HAN, CFW nor anything like that. I don't want to update to 4.84, but I do have my Dead Island saves which, for all intents and purposes, can only be backed up and restored via PS+, and I need to change HDDs, so my only option would be to update and backup my saves which I wish to avoid (either that or lose my saves... TT_TT).

Sony normally sends back a response requiring the latest firmware. this app replaces that "min version" with 4.82.
Considering the way that this works, I don't see any issues with this working on 4.83 but I cannot guarantee as I have no testing data for 4.83 at this time. If you do run the app, working or not, please let me know your results.

The most important information:
PS3 Model #: (EXAMPLE: Cech-2501a)
CFW Version: (EXAMPLE: REbug 4.82.2)
Additional apps/plugins: (EXAMPLE: PSNPatch, Multiman, Managunz, Webman-MOD, Rebug Toolbox)
Problems or lack of: (EXAMPLE: every time i use this app I get kidnapped by aliens! Otherwise, fine.)
Steps to recreate (if any): (EXAMPLE: Open app, click question mark three times, watch program crash)

Sir,I personally tested it on 4.83 ofw and It works fine.
