PS3 slim fan speed

I had PS3 slim slim 2504b with rogero cfw 4.55 and didnt have fan control on that cfw. Temps were usually up to 68-70 on cpu and up to 65C on gpu. Now I bought also PS3 slim but 2504a. This should be same factory process as 2504b, right? But on this new 2504a gpu is always hotter than cpu, for example cpu is on 66C and gpu 70C after half hour gaming. Is that normal?
Also I started to monitor temps and fan speed with webman and I see that PS3 starts with fan speed 20% and slowly increase only up to 28% after 65C and fan speed stay at 28% but temps keep rising up to 70-72C on gpu and up to 67C on gpu. Is this normal fan speed profile on PS3 slim 2504a? Thanks.
Your cpu need to be 60° and your rsx 58°-55° use no webman use control fan ultilitu

Mates, ive finally done the audacity to replace the thermal paste under the RSX IHS, but to my surprise after turning on the PS3 Webman started to gradually increasing the RSX temps to an abismal 76c and rising, while the CPU remains unchanged 60.

Hows even this possible? The IHS is not shifted, perhaps a Webman error?

Maybe bad application of paste on top of the IHS? What paste is now under and on top the IHS? How did you remove IHS, what method? :)

Nah mate, i made sure no bad thermal aplication was made, an even surface, but i observed uppon loading the VSH menu of Webman, the RSX temp was 78 and quickly got down to 60, hows that even possible!?

Don't let the temp go higher than 70, turn off PS3. Something is wrong, how did u turn back IHS, did you glue it or what? Maybe it is not sit well on rsx core.

Yeah, i applied a tiny layer of super glue to make sure the RSX doesnt detatch, and alligned the IHS to be exactly with the RSX itself

Hmm, did you clean the glue from memory chips? Maybe IHS doesn't touch core with enough pressure.

Yes you don't need to put glue, just remove old glue from memory chips and make sure that ihs first touches core and not memory chips.

It did touch previously, as i removed the IHS from the chip and the paste stuck to it, but nothing its confirmed

Yep, i think you theory might be true mate, the IHS isnt properly touching the chip, 3rd time and still shuts down.

Replaced the IHS from another 60Gb i had, but now i have to get the glue of the VRMs, which is bloody difficult

Great news, you theory was indeed true mate, the VRMs are now clean and the IHS slides through the core, which means there is contact, temps are great to hovering in the 46º to 52º on the RSX, CELL remains at 60º but i wont bother remove it as its too risky :D

Got a bit paranoid, when i scratched a bit of the VRM, luckily it didnt hit any traces, or 2012 flashbacks would be back again hahahaha :D
