the HFW tools is kinda freaking me out.

if you activate any of the HFW options like check firmware version, reboot, etc.... without enabling HEN first, ps3 restarts in 480p with a screen full of text, the message says pressing ps button and after that it tells that system software issue kind of thing and asking to press ps button to restart, after that, it will start normally with your usual file system check reminder since your ps3 didnt shutdown properly.

yeah I know, just saying that this may potentially brick your HDD due to improper shutdown. I appreciate the options but it would be cool if theres a option without the HFW tools (except for the handy dandy updater). Or at least make it appear only when HEN is enabled just like what webman-mod do.

Are you attempting to use the tools when Hen is not activated

I have original games that I made .iso backups. What do you mean with multiman mode? Multiman shows the games as normal iso that are unsupported on my slim.

I don't know if we're talking, the conversion to iso.bin.enc can be made directly in the ps3 without pc?

just uninstalled the thing by reinstalling HEN v2 and used the updated w .bin files and replaced it under hen folder. this at least I have v2.0.2 HEN without the HFW tools, I cant let the kids fiddling that kind of things and return home with a bricked ps3.

None of those tools could ever cause a brick but it can happen due to file corruption. Usually a database rebuild and file system repair will fix the issue.

well anything that makes your ps3 unusable considered brick regardless if its recoverable or not, this is why theres two types of brick soft and hard.

When it kicks to recovery, simply press ps button will put back you XMB,

We have considered this option for a while... for now remapping is rather troublesome since some homebrews remove remapping which makes the tools disappear from time to tome, so we left it shown at all times.

For now it's really hard to satisfy everyone

If we were to implement remapping this plugin, Some would have issues with this disappears, some people like you don't like this feature kicks to recovery when HEN's not enabled because the option is easily accessible..

My PS3 CECH 3004 gets shutdown without red light LED (2 clicks needed to boot the ps3) when I run a PS2 game classic. I have PS3HEN v2.0.2

I open the game in the xmb and no copyright message appears now , but when it starts loading the PS3 shutdowns.

The RAP is inside the exdata folder in the usb...

I got the same error with multiman but trying to run ps3 isos from usb.
Runing ps3 isos from hdd are ok.

that's fine, im just posting some results that may cause some issue on some users, specially on the users who dont really know what theyre doing. after all accidents can happen, there's always a chance you forget to activate hen before using such options.

Yeah I do that sometimes, using HEN on HFW makes me think I'm always on CFW sometimes as I always have been on other units that are on CFW..

• Install HFW 4.84.2 (Found here) from Official firmware 4.84
  
• Download Support files from ps3xploit website " http://**ps3xploit.com >Domain no L...me =new)/hfw/release/han_supportfiles-484.zip " Then use HAN Installer to get Package Manger in XMB Game colmun
• Copy HEN_v2_Offline_Installer_HDD_signed.pkg from download file (of PS3HEN v2.0.0) to root of USB
• Use Enable HAN PKG Blind ps3xploit website
• Install HEN_v2_Offline_Installer_HDD_signed.pkg,then reboot
• PS3 will boot normal and new tool will be add to Game Column in XMB called Enable HEN use that each time ps3 reboot to use homebrew,modified apps,resigned...etc

Sorry to bother you, but your instructions are nice to follow. Will this work for those who have never installed anything on a system that is at 4.84? If so, what do you do with the han support files and how do you install han?

I have all the HEN files, think I have 4.84.2 installed, but can't get any further than that.

Likely won't happen, PSP emulation is less than 40%, and it's the best to use build your own custom pkg with proper config.

when you mount a game it can be launched from app_home/PS3_GAME or from disc icon but that app_home folder exist for cfw that don't have cobra to make mounting discless by creating a virutal disc to launch from

Hi, Louay!

My suggestion is to change the icon because it is different form the others folder icons. It is a white folder icon. Take a look at this icon when you start your console.
