PS3HEN PS3HEN - Official Release Thread (Homebrew Enabler for the PS3) v3.5.0 (4.93 support)

What's about that "PS2 Classics Launcher" stuff ? Is it the PKGs generated by PS2 Classics GUI ? Because they already used to work for me.

so i have tryed both iso.bin.enc and ps2 classic converted signed pkg and all i get is a black screen then the ps3 turns off when i try to run the ps2 game
Try run with han only...never had a issue running pkgs converted and assined of ps2...

The same happnes to me, so my PS3 shuts down the power led turns off and I need to press the power button twice, on the first it turns red and on the second turns on the system.

If i group the things in xmb,
there will be ps2 section and an ps3 section usw.
is there a way to move Homebrews to a own/separate section!?
Would love that...

My installed games and all the installed Homebrews are in ps3 section which is Confusing and too much

Highlight the item in question, press triangle (I think) then go to information, then go to album and type something there, like Homebrews, save and go back, then you press square (again I think) to sort by albums and Bam

the problem with albums is that if you choose the sorting mechanic of sorting by system, it disregards albums. it can't do both at the same time, so your only option is to create an album of each game otherwise games without an album will be lumped into a folder named "unknown." this can be a major pita if you have a lot of games. and, if you rebuild the database, all albums will be removed. you might want to backup the metadata file (metadata_db_hdd) in dev_hdd0/mms/db after creating the albums, then replacing it if something goes wrong with the database. that should work, though I've never done it.

I've done it on the vita though. if you rebuild the database there, it removes all folders. the vita can only scan 100 items at once, not including content in folders. there's a message that will display about having too many items. if you create folders and drop games into them, the next time you reboot more items will be scanned and appear. however, if you replace the metadata equivalent on the vita, the app.db, all games will be sorted correctly without going through the frustration of redoing it.

Hey does anyone know how to get hfw tools working. I can't seem to get it working when I install the Ps3Hen pkg file or when I enable hen for some weird reason. I've tried reinstalling the pkg and that doesn't seem to work.I did try to use the boot_ plugins and add the path and folder to the file but that didn't work either (Didn't think it would anyway).
