PS3HEN PS3HEN - Official Release Thread (Homebrew Enabler for the PS3) v3.5.0 (4.93 support)

I'm not trying to start it, I'm trying to backup it. After backing up I will try to start them.
I think this is an issue with backup managers, and I'm not sure of a solution.

I saw @sandungas mention this once.

If you use the file manager in IRISMAN 4.84.4, I think you will see in dev_bdvd that there is a PS3_GAME folder, and also something like PS3_GM01 , this is your other game. The backup managers don't see that. You might be able to back that folder up manually by copying it to dev_hdd0/GAMES/ with the file manager.

Yep, the game "fighting edition" is one of those affected by this problem @Arcueid was asking about it some days ago
https://www.psx-place.com/threads/p...noncfw-ps3-consoles.23817/page-40#post-180148

The other game i know that uses this "multiboot" structure is "Metal Gear Solid The Legacy Collection"
I was trying to help other guy time ago and i was taking a look at how is made
https://www.psdevwiki.com/ps3/LIC.DAT#Multiboot_PS3_Game_Discs

What seems to happen is part of the multiboot info (from the LIC.DAT) is ignored by backup managers
Also, the BD regions are divided (like partitions of a hdd), and i guess every game in the disc have his specific region... this "multiregion" probably is not identifyed fine by backup managers

I dont have any of this games btw, so im not sure if you can copy the folders PS3_GM01, PS3_GM02, PS3_GM03, etc.. (up to 100) by using a file manager, so please report back if you are able to see that folders

When I open / dev_bdvd I can see: ps3_game and ps3_update, these are folders. Then ps3_disc.sfb and finally two files weighing 0 bites named ps3_gm01 and ps3_gm02.

Ok, good to know, are you talking about multiman, right ?
Thats an error PS3_GM01 and PS3_GM02 are folders, not files
And i guess if you try to copy it shows an error, like what @Arcueid explained ?
Here doing a little report, and asking if anyone knows a workaround for it, multi game discs ( those with structure
PS3_GAME
PS3_GM01
PS3_GM02
only the first one can be dumped through multiman, the rest causes error when attempting to copy through file manager
You should try with other filemanagers (the ones inside irisman and managunz) and see if it happens the same

FYI @Zar if at some point you want to take a look at this, i think what i been mentioning in the previous 2 posts resumes all we know about this problem

After activating SEN Enabler, HEN Enabler and Package Manager dissapeared. Even after restarting the console. Someone knows what happened and how to fix it?

Please I need some help here.
Idk what happened, I was ftping something using multiman and then at the middle of the transfer the PS3 turned off, cutting the ftp connection.
I started the PS3 again, enabled Han and want to try again, however, multiman now doesn't open anymore.
Only a black screen.
Tried black box, also black screen, open ftp 4.2, also black screen, webman and managunz file manager seems to be working normally.
Tried uninstalling multiman, and reinstall it, nothing changed, I went through the license agreement and then black screen again.

Any tips?

I'm on latest hfw
I have enabled han and mounted flash
Installed latest hen installer
Rebooted

I can see enable hen in game category
But hybrid firmware tools is not there in network category

Just have a question, I know that we can install and enable Hen without activating the PS3. But What about running pkg games that requires rap file does the ps3 needs to be activated to run pkg games that requires rap file?
