i have a problem. im on hen 2.3.1 . hen enables correctly but iwhen i try to start usb installed homebrew i get 80010017 on every app or a blackscreen on some like retroarch . when itry to re-enable hen it says "reboot error" and restarts , then the first enable works again but homebrews doesnt run. (the internal homebrew downloader doesnt work for some reason)

Try reaply the HFW 4.84 and reinstall the HEN..

thanks i will try - already re-did hen a couple of times but only the exploit , not the hfw.
Then webman was buggy , only loading a about:blank page when opening the settings , but i got i fixed by manually installing a webman pkg.

Sometimes retro arch works , but only the version with black gui and it doesnt find any roms . has anyone a link to the regular version with the blue gui ?
Other homebrew like ftp works fine

yeah, I'd suggest not plugging anything extra into the same usb port. I burned out a couple hdds by doing that. the system will show that there's a problem, but by that time, the damage may be too late. my hdds died instantly. I believe the 4 usb ports on the original phat systems - their points are still on the motherboard (maybe even on slims?), so some people have used them to add another usb port to the back of the system.

hey friend i use an adapter on my ps3 to be able to play with a ps2 command I would like to know if that could damage something of my consolo I took more than 2 years and a half using it

it's probably fine. the power error will display if there's a problem. if it was going to damage something, that error probably would've appeared by now.

From my experience with HEN, having plugins like webman or sman bring more freezes than running 4.84 HEN stock. So I'm just using PS3HEN 2.3.1 and Irisman to load the games I want.

I haven't tried the latest webman mod 1.47.25 yet, that it should bring less issues (e.g., incompatibility with multiman, and the fan control stuff), but for now as you said, I prefer to 'KISS'

btw, from what I recall about the original webman by Deank, you needed to edit some .XML file in order to show up in the XMB. So it was like a manual setup, not just uploading the server.sprx plugin. From the readme.txt:
* Edit your category_game.xml (/dev_blind/vsh/resource/explore/xmb/category_game.xml)

Right, i have no freeze anymore with lastest version and multiman only for backup managers.

If the games already have an Album assigned, yes, it is possible to rename the Album and all the games associated will change too.

If the game does not have an Album, you should assign them one by one.

I know it's a pain in the a**... A trick that can help is:

Instead of type the full name of the album, assign "g" to all games that belong to the same album. "g" is the default letter in the OSD, this will reduce the number of buttons that you should press. After all the games of the first Album have been assigned, rename the folder "g" to the name that you want.

If the new name of the folder "g" already exists, the games will be merged with the existing album.

Repeat the process for the games of the next album.

Interestingly I got PS3 pro mod to work but it won't let psnhen or anything hen get installed without resetting the PS3. However it allows han and normal PKG files fine. It's a shame. I wanted to use it but without ps3hen working idk if it's worth it.

HAVEN'T tried the PS3PRO MOD but afaik there is a hen customized version of it. Are you using the the HEN version?

Does this need any more resigning ? It works with CFW but not HEN .
Is 2.3.1 considered stable ? I had better results with 2.1.1

Is the game SPRX/SELF/EBOOT resigned for 3.55 keys?

The original patch was initially 3.60 . I used TrueAncestor_PKG_Repacker_v2.45 to process it and i see now it shows System Version 3.40 . So it's probably resigned to 3.40 . Does HEN accept that ?

Hen accepts everything below 3.55

Is act.dat different for OFW 4.84 and HFW 4.84.? Will i need to dump it again if i update from OFW to HFW?

your act.dat is tied to your profile. as long as it's the same profile, you won't have to do that.
