PS3HEN PS3HEN - Official Release Thread (Homebrew Enabler for the PS3) v3.5.0 (4.93 support)

Hi i just updated HEN to 3.0.1 but I can't log in to psn do I need to do something or its not supported yet? (Of course I restarted ps3)

Multiman works because some of the critical functions are dependant of cobra (and/or the cobra implementation inside HEN)

But irisman and managunz probably are not going to work, they uses a "payload" (loaded in PS3 RAM) that is specific for each firmware version. So is needed to create that payload for "4.86 CEX" and update them to include the new 4.86 CEX payload + some checks to allow them to identify the 4.86 firmware versions

I'm new user of PS3HEN. Which is the most stable/recommended version of multiMan for HFW 4.86?
Thanks for the reply

the latest one works perfectly fine on me

Thanks!
One more question...
The first time I try to enable HEN its fails and my PS3 reboot. I get the message "Failed! Rebooting!". After reboot enable HEN is a success.
Any way to solve these problem? I'ts boring to wait for reboot and enable HEN again.

Hey tks for your hardwork.

I wanted to ask a question. I'm on HAN 4.85 and I was wondering if migrating to HEN on 4.86 will the NO HAN and HAN games I have installed work normally?

I get the message "Failed! Rebooting! when my network cable is connected, but when connected to wifi or no connection, it works fine.

Hello mate. Make sure you are on the latest HFW 4.86 firmware. That could be one of the causes. Greetings.

Thanks!

That can happen occasionally. There is nothing wrong, the exploit are its own errors. The latest HEN versions work very well, and very rarely fail. If it fails, the console restarts without problems. It's just a matter of enabling HEN again. If HEN fails very often on your console, it would be a good idea to delete and reinstall it. Cheers

they should work perfectly. You would only be changing the exploit (from HAN to HEN). The installed games are not modified.

It could be due to exploit failure. If it works without cable, it is better to leave it like that in my opinion.

Wifi is too slow for ps3netsrv, some games do work with wifi though. I tested The HEN Enabler and let it reboot about 6 times, then disconnected and it never fails, I've never seen it do this, It's no big deal thought I should report. All I have to do is disable internet connection. Is HEN in the xmb menu offline? Or does it depend on the type of connection activated?

I installed HEN v3.0.0 headset audio patch+Auto-Updates Disabled, thinking it would override the HEN3.0.1.bin, but I got the same results. So it could very well be an exploit failure. I'm back on Hen3.0.1 now, I reinstalled it.

Yes, i did. Thanks guys for porting it over so fast, I'm on fw 4.86 with Hen 3.0.1. I was going to reinstall Hen 3.0 but I just rebooted and it worked with the wired connection so I'm just going to leave it alone.

no need to reinstall v3.0.0 when you installed HEN normaly then donwload the HeadSet pkg that it wasn't updated that time it was for v3.0.0 4.85 & the BINS are diffrent thats why you face failure but now its 4.86 HEN v3.0.1 and i think it should work properly :)

Is it possible to install HEN 3.0.1 using flash drive or ftp rather than going through **ps3xploit.com >Domain no Longer owned by team** (ps3xploit.me =new) on ps3 internet browser?

Awesome, i have doubts if all features are going to work though, take a look at this link, is the source code of managunz, it have a "payload" file specific for every firmware version
https://github.com/Zarh/ManaGunZ/tree/master/MGZ/data

The latests payloads are for "485C" (the CEX version), so is needed to add new ones for "486C"
Not sure... if everything works fine as you are reporting maybe is just a matter of copypasting the 485C files and rename them to 486C (that would explain why is working because managunz thinks 486 is 485)

IRISMAN and most of the others backup managers work because they recognize 4.86 as an older CFW due the lv2_kernel haven't changed since 4.75 (with exception of 4.80).

MAMBA is loaded only if Cobra is disabled. In such case it would load the payload for the version that it recognized. HEN is detected as Cobra, so the only broken feature is the FW version reported by the application.

set the install page as homepage. delete cookies, cashe, and the two things below them. turn off browser close confirmation. back out of browser. open browser. initialize and install.
