Not sure you are interested in this but here goes.
Although you cannot get logs of the HEN enabling process (userland/kernel exploitation & payload installation) due to the limitations I mentioned previously, it is possible to use a debug HEN payload to get HEN logs.
HEN is a mini Cobra payload, its debug output is the same as the one debug Cobra offers. HEN logs can be received on PC using socat (or socat-windows) listening on UDP port 18194. Log data is broadcasted from the moment HEN is launched & until console shutdown/restart.
To broadcast the debug logs, you must use the Debug HEN payload rather than the release HEN payload.
There is a dedicated batch file to build the Debug payload from source (assuming you have the sdk properly set up).

My friend has PS3 FAT Cechc 04 and is afraid to install HEN because he is not sure if it will work with his console. As far as I know HEN works with every PS3 regardless of the model? Can he install it without worry or does he have to install CFW?

HEN is made for any console that can install HFW, which every console can. So in basic sense he can install HEN safely, but personally I would recommend him installing CFW instead. As it has more features, support, and just better in running modified SPRX (which HEN can't do). But in the end the choice is yours.

TL;DR
HEN can be installed on any PS3 console (with HFW)

Sorry, for late reply. Was busy doing something, but I would recommend him to go with CFW anytime if he has the potential to. As CFW is much better then HEN but also, as good as CFW might be the good risks it got. Risk: IDPS Ban (higher then HEN?. no proven fact). And well, CFW basically can run custom code which HEN can't due to HEN relying on a webkit exploit whilst CFW is a whole system level modification. So it's on your friend, what does he wanna do with the console? Simple things, such as X then go for HEN else if he wants to do weirder things go for CFW, such as Y.
 
Can anyone share the oficial pkg of HEN 3.0.1 because I'm on HFW 4.86 and this morning it automactily uptated itself, the problem is that I can't activate this new HEN 3.0.2 I just get stuck on the new HEN logo in browser with clock spinning and nothing happens (I can't install HFW 4.87 because my computer is broken and my pen drive is not formated as fat32)

it is on **ps3xploit.com >Domain no Longer owned by team** (ps3xploit.me =new) just click on "PSHEN" then "4.86 HFW". the pkg is middle link.

make sure you disable internet connection before enabling hen (or it will auto-update again).
 
Thank you Coro that worked, I just don't get what's happening, I think HEN 3.0.2 should work on HFW 4.86 too or is this update only for HFW 4.87?
 
thanks for the new HEN,quick question:
i'm using a 4.85 multiman,it was ok for 4.86.is it likely to be fine on 4.87?
just wanted to know if it's probably better to wait for the updated file managers/launchers

i tested on all fw on slim ss nor and ss emmc, and a few others tested before release, so im not sure the issue. I tested on basically all clean systems and launched homebrew apps like multiman and rebg toolbox to test

you can make a new thread here or something, with more details and setup of what you have

you can use the Debug HEN package or bin and run socat to log any errors upon loading. Its in the developer zip on main PS3Xploit site, or here http://**ps3xploit.com >Domain no L...r/debug/Latest_HEN_Installer_DEBUG_signed.pkg

Firmware 4.75,
Cobra 8.10,
mmCm 4.82

I played in some games with internet connections (not online and psn, just to access to stores - for example, fifa 19 doesn't allow to access to the internal store without internet connection)

A few days ago I got the message that I should update firmware to get access to online features. I updated the hen to 3.0.2 version. Now when I run HEN - I see new screen and message that the last HEN version is 3.0.2 What I should next? Thank you!

It sounds like you're good to go. I would maybe update mmCM(Multiman) and webman. If you don't have webman, I would suggest installing it. Webman is a very useful homebrew. It can mount games from xmb, change cids, control the fan speed, etc.

I have webman. Thank you! So do you mean that I don't need to update the firmware to get online feature ?
