PS3MAME (0.142)

PS3 PS3MAME (v0.142) by Robo Hobo PREVIEW

I have it downloaded to my desktop, but I don't know how to share it. I tried to upload it, but it's to large 80mb sorry and it works fine on 4.82

I would be appreciated if you upload this file somewhere like, MEGA or Mediafire. And gave us the link...

Hello everyone...

I'm looking for Resigned Version of MAME 0.142 for 4.xx fw.

There is a MAME 0.142 in brewology archive but doesn't work on 4.xx frimware.

So appreciated if someone gave me the link of Resigned one (:

All the emulator threads i did at various places, all the time i have uploaded that homebrew and every single link of mine is down.

I know what my mission to do soon. Restore the PS3 Emulator downloads,

If using on rebug may not need it resigned at all.

I will have have to dig through some of my files

I'm on Rebug 4.82.2 and when i want to start Mame 0.142 , it doesn't start and returned me to XMB and i thought it must be resigned for 4.xx because original pkg was upload in 2011

I hope u find this emulator through your files (:

I rarely say much, mostly read but man is it cool to see a scene so helpful and supportive of each other.
Yeah. They do. Been on this forum for years but lost my credentials and couldn't recover it. Had to start over. This thread is dead I am sure. I want to try out the old MAME v0.142 but can't find a version that works on newer firmware. I'm on 4.84.2 and the old one on BROGY just reboots back to SMB. I know a resigned or newer version exists...just can't find it. If someone happens on this year old thread...help would be appreciated.

Would retroarch help in this scenario? It has a few mame emulators. If nothing else, it might be a starting point? :)

Why not just resign the PKG with true ancestor PKG resigner. I preferred the older emulators too so I resigned them all a while back.

In Retroarch PS3 Port, there are these 3 Mame cores:
- MAME 2000 (0.37)
- MAME 2003 (0.78)
- MAME 2003 Plus (0.78) Which polished version of MAME 2003

I think our conversation here which is about MAME 0.142 supports more mame ROMs with more compatibility

Also there is another standalone MAME which called 0.125 version and i think this version must be resigned for 4.xx too in order to work.

Should be able to be resigned with various signing tools.

However just because you see higher version number of MAME on the PS3 you can not expect to play much more then what 0.78 is going to offer, there may be some titles that will play or even play better, but overall you will have a better experience with 0.78 IMO. but again some games will be exceptions and its really a trial and error process while being sure to keeping synced romsets for that version.

I looked into ancestor...I'm pretty schooled but I couldn't follow. Was watching some video, but just glancing at it. Guy had a couple of windows going and dragging this to here and that to there. Guess I'll give it a try. I'm sure I'll figure it out. Post it somewhere if ALI can't find it either.
As far as Retroach is concerned I have that all up and running with customs Playlists built with Playlist Buddy with all the cover art and such for like 23 emulators and around 9000+ roms. All fully customized. It all works great, but when scanning through ~1500 MAME roms real fast is gets a little sketchy and sometimes freezes(edit-fixed that with a cache folder). I am not sure what MAME romset it is but it has little under 1500 roms. The version of Retroach I finally got working on my current CFW after several tries only had MAME 2000. I had to the correct romset for it, but hardly anything worked. So injected MAME 2003 into to and updated DB/Cores with a large romset I had and got everything matched up and labeled correct and got it working. But the roms are limited to whatever romset it is(think its .78+) I downloaded the comango .125 but it only has 30 some games and adding games to it seemed difficult unless its been updated. I wanted to give .142 a try with a heavier set of roms and see if I can get roms/bioses/mystery magic/luck put together for some missing MAME titles I was looking for and since .142 seemed like a simple front end was going to give it try. But I think the setup in Retroach is probably the best its going to get.
