PS3 PSNpatch - Releases / Usage Information (Official Support Thread)

Yes. Run as ISO.
Multiman / mmcm is the easiest approach to create the ISO.
Also, read the PSNPatch faq where some suggestions are already made for solving game launching issues.
Thank you! I'm creating the ISO right now. I assume that by pressing X in PSNPatch, that takes care of the spoofing and also deleting of all your log and listing of homebrew and installed applications?
UPDATE: I'm getting an error message that the ISO I created with multiman isn't a compliant PS3 ISO? Any idea why?

Try to mount ISO in diffrent app, also try diffrent app to make ISO. I remember that error and i don't found solution to start this not compliant ISO last time.

Ok, sure but what other app? I thought multiman was the only way to launch backups?
And do you mean to make the ISO on my PC and then transfer it?

[MENTION=124]kokotonix[/MENTION], i had issues with MMcm transforming Folder game on ISO, i recomend IRISman to do it, it work for me

Thank you everyone. IRISman worked perfectly. The ISO launches with PSNPatch. Now, I just have to hope it works for me. I don't want to play online, just download rosters for my sports games. So, hopefully that's less risky. I wish there was some application that could show me that all my homebrew history has been wiped when I go online.
Question: After loading a game online, is there any other way to reset the cfw other than to reboot?

PSN Patch Already delete all you history when you press x on the app or when you press the combo, and no if you use psnpatch you need to reboot your console to change game.

Ok, thanks. Last question.. is it ok to go on the PSN Store to download demos or is that something that's more likely to get you noticed?

Going online is always riscky, but using psnpatch is more safe, you can play online and go to psn store download demos.

I recommend you to read the full description / FAQ of psnpatch before use it :) there you have all the information you need (for example the deleted history) ;)

Definitely, I will keep reading it, it's just that when you come to something late, there are previous versions and forum entries that refer to other methods of use and you spend actually half the time going through history learning all the developments before realising things have changed.

PSNPATCH docs are updated to the last version.
As you are a "starter" It is very important for you to read them all, and understand its contents

But note that PSNPatch doesn't do miracles. :)
You still must be very careful when connected to the psn.
One thing that you must keep in mind is to NEVER CALL AN HOMEBREW AFTER BEING CONNECTED TO THE PSN.
PSNPatch plugin already helps by blocking psn access while CFW is not disabled.
But after connecting to the psn if you call, let's say, multiman, all your friends (and Sony) will know you are running it ...
And if you
Are running it, you are in CFW.
AND If you are in CFW and connected to the PSN...

;)

PSNPATCH docs are...
Thanks for all that and yes it makes perfect sense. I'm not expecting miracles. In fact, I'm pretty dubious. Back when my 360 was modded to go online safely I never believed it and I ended up getting banned. The thing is, like I said, I never play online, I only use online capabilities to download rosters for my sports games. I'll read everything thoroughly but I was just saying that like all mod topics, when you JUST scan the internet through searches you end up with a wide range of answers about things that are out of date, incorrect, no longer working, links that are dead, downloads that aren't hosted anymore, sites that have closed, etc etc etc. So, coming to something new, sometimes you do just have to ask directly what the state of things is before looking it up yourself and sometimes new guys like me aren't lazy or dumb, we just don't know where to start. Thanks, all you guys have all been a big help.

I have this with me for some days, but didn't had the time to prepare the release notes.
They should have been a little bit more polished, but as nobody read them anyway, here it is:

Code:
[B]PSNPatch 4.70.07[/B] [11-APR-2015]
[LIST]
  [*] New "STEALTH3" extensions for cobra (*);
  [*] non-cobra plugin installer improved for speed and compatibility;
[*] XMB menus handling for WEBMAN removed (webman-mod automatically updates the XMB GAMES menus).
[*] Includes Webman-mod 1.41.35-KW lite edition, english language.
  [*] psnpatch.pkg file is now LESS THAN 1MB !!!! :)
  [*] Official support forum: psx-place (http://www.psx-place.com/forum/psnpatch/psnpatch-information-releases-125.html)
[/LIST]
(*)
a) [B]For non-tech users: INSTALL-IT. IT'S BETTER THAN EVER ![/B]

b)For tech users:
Cobra syscalls disabling improved to a new level:
A payload is installed in a random LV2 syscall, from where it immediatelly disables CFW syscalls (including its own) without any limitation or turnaround.
This directly bypasses any cobra syscalls table protections by using direct LV2 access (no poking needed).
No need to recompile for each existing or future cobra variant.
Independent from cobra, mamba, any other payload and firmware version.
It restores syscalls: 6(lv2 peek), 7(lv2 poke), 8(semi-lv1 peek / cobra, mamba, ps3mapi), 9(lv1 poke), 10, 11(full lv1 peek), xx(random psnpatch payload)
psnpatch plugin will report "Stealth3 ..." when successfully using this mode.

As I have a very limited availability for the time being, support can only be guaranteed here at PSX-PLACE :)
I will still look at other foruns, but not so actively as before.

Get PSNPATCH 4.70.07 from the first post:

Thank you for the update!! :D

Downloading now, I'll try it this weekend.

By the way, I always read it and I'm sure I'm not the one :p but I think it is ok, don't worry.

Congratulations for this great app it is better and better in each update.

Sorry for my poor English.

First of all, thanks for the update ... I was reading the documentation and I understand when stealth3 function is active, must appear on the poster stealth3 mode and for me only appears "cfw cobra" ... Another question, no longer an option for of addons for Webmasn? Greetings.

BTW I'm on habib 4.70 cobra

Stealth 3 should appear the moment you remove CFW in cobra using the plugin.

The xmb addons are not needed as webman-mod automatically add them after reboot.

is it only Demos and free stuff you can download from PSN? What if you have to account signed in and you try to recover the stuff you purchased, Themes, Games, DLC? An Error code comes up and as well as trying to activate you Ps3 to your account the same error comes up. anyone know the work around?
