PS3 PSNpatch - Releases / Usage Information (Official Support Thread)

Psnpatch has a different level of protection.
you can install both webman and psnpatch plugins.
When you use webman syscall disabling options, psnpatch will take over and do it by itself.

[MENTION=224]TheDemon[/MENTION], when you press L3+R3+R2 you disable webman and psnpatch, i always use psnpatch to disable syscalls and never had issues.. i dont think that is useful to use the disable syscall function on both apps

If you use both tools, psnpatch will take over and inhibit webman syscalls disabling mechanism.

thanks [MENTION=2908]kapa[/MENTION] and [MENTION=124]kokotonix[/MENTION] but im having and crash issue, already unchecked the syscall option on webman, then this were my steps:

1-loaded a game in iso format on webman
2-pressed the combo L3+R3+R2 on ps3 XMB(confirmation appear that psn was unlocked syscals disabled)
3-enter the game and it crashes appearing only a blackscreen

also im using webman 1.43.26

UPDATE: Fixed the issue i was having by disabling the idps spoofing on webman and using only the psnpach.conf instead(was using both on webman and the psnpatch.conf), also disabled lock psn on webman and now its working

I've never used another tool than psnpatch to spoof idps and disable syscalls, so i really dont know how webman tools works.. i only use webman to mount / unmount games. To avoid blackscreen have all the apps (webman, multiman, irisman, psnpatch updated) and cfw on last version, and you shouldn't have problems.
 
Question regarding psnpatch combo L3 +R3 +R2, webmanmod also as this combo to unload it from memory, but do i need to have it checked on webmanmod settings or using just the combo with psnpatch does the same i mean also unloads webman from memory? Thanks in advance, and sorry for all the questions but since i only have this IDPS i Just want to be the safest possible.

Leave it enabled in webman so the same combo will run psnpatch and unload webman.

A couple of users mentioned a problem with the psnpatch plugin in DEX (have a look at recent posts in this thread).
You could always use the SEN Enabler plugin if you need an alternative.
Remember it's not recommended to use DEX to go online unless you need to.

By the way, CEX/DEX/DECR..are PS3 system types whereas REX/D-REX are the names of Rebug CFW releases aimed respectively at CEX & DEX systems.

Help me please.


I had the rebug 4.76.1 lite version with the version of psnpatch 2015 / 9A , I activated the plugin at startup and add-on , now without doing anything I upgraded to 4.78.2 rebug cex . I loaded cobra from toolbox with Webman mod and put into rebug mode . I open psnpatch I press select and install plugins and I enable automatic startup. Restart the console to freeze twice in three. I have to remove the plug and turn it on . Rebuild file system but not fix freeze. can you help me?

Try downloading the most recent psnpatch version (see first topic).
Install it then call psnpatch once - it should immediately propose to update the plugin.

Tell us exactly which options you have enabled in both rebug toolbox and in psnpatch toolbox menu.

I solved so,.in toolbox I turned off before Webman then cobra and then by rebug in normal mode , I went into psn ​​patch and I uninstalled the plugin disabled the automatic start and uninstalled dwg loader . Then I uninstalled the xmb psnpatch , I rebuilt the file system recovery and also the database . I'm back in the toolbox , and I activated cobras and Webman I finally called into rebug mode , I installed psnpatch and installed the plugin , only the key on just without triggering the start . Restarting the ps3 Part Webman and then psnpatch and nothing more freeze . After a night of trials I succeeded partly because I could not find help on the web. Thank you kokotonix

Any way you could add support for the official PS3 bluray/media remote? I ask as sometimes I just turn it on with that for Hulu but have to turn on the PS3 Remote just to start the app to disable the syscalls.

I'm not sure if the media remote supports simultaneous key presses needed for psnpatch shortcuts.

It would not be used in that manner. The system has a priority flag set so the app is the first thing in the game column. My 8 year old uses this to watch her cartoons and such from Hulu as there isn't a NoPSN Hulu app working. I try to keep the DS3 pads away from her unless I am around as she recently broke one. So she goes into the app and presses triangle to disable syscalls then Hulu. Would only need that button to work TBH and would be best if only that one worked as she could only choose full disable of CFW thus keeping my PS3 a little safer when I am not around.
 
I also use the RC a lot so I would welcome its support in psnpatch within constraints. ☺️

Glad I am not the only one. I like it as it will turn on my PS3 & HDTV all at once. PS3Lock also does not support this. All I really need in that is the ability to press start for limited mode. Thanks for even looking though bud support for this all is nothing short of stellar, just like it's performance.
 
Hi all help me please!

I installed the PSNpatch plugin, trying to uninstall it now but everytime I enter PSNpatch from XMB it crashes my ps3 with 2 beeps and blinking red. I deleted PSNpatch from XMB but plugin is still there. I tried turning on and off CFW through R3+L3+R2 but it still crashes. I thought it might have been the Spoof 4.78 enabler by ARCH but I can't get into that to disable it either. I'm currently on Rebug 4.46.1.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Deleting psnpatch doesn't remove or disable the plugin which is generally located at /dev_hdd0/psnpatch.sprx. Deleting that file would work but leave a wrong entry in /dev_hdd0/boot_plugins.txt.

A better way is to manually edit /dev_hdd0/boot_plugins.txt to remove the line containing psnpatch.sprx. You could use Windows Explorer ftp client for example to do this... (I assume wMM is working... If not you could launch multiman & enable its ftp server instead.

You can also delete boot_plugins.txt itself if psnpatch is the only plugin added to it. It would achieve the same effect as editing the txt file in this case.

In terms of spoofer for Rebug, I would usually recommend to use SEN Enabler 5.9.3. It does a different job with Cobra than Arch as it doesn't simply replace files but fixes any Cobra discrepancy it finds.

If Cobra is corrupted for whatever reason you might need to reinstall your CFW. Don't forget to enable Cobra with Rebug Toolbox after reinstall if required. Apply SEN Enabler spoof after réinstallation (and after enabling Cobra if needed of course) then launch psnpatch & reinstall psnpatch plugin.
