PS4 PSX-FPKG (by Jabu) - A Tool to convert PS1 (PSX) games for use on PS4 v0.3

Or

Run PPSSPP>Settings>Tools>Developer tools>check "Dump decrypted EBOOT.BIN on game boot". Decrypted EBOOT.BIN will be in memstick folder with ULUS name of game .. Then rebuild ISO with UMDGen

i know another way, i test it now

Very, very capable as well.... eboot.bin must be decrypted for games to boot on new(and old) PSP emu

@Manu Mx Power Stone Collection works perfectly with new emu!
Awesome. Thanks for sharing! PStone never looked so good. This looks even better than the original Naomi arcade version. A shame there is no local multiplayer on the PSP.

POPS is still not emulated in this new built? For the non-working PSX titles...?? ;-)

So the procedure is as follows?

1. Take pspremake fpkg decrypt it and extract folder.
2. Use psp2ps3 to decrypt eboot.bin?
3. Paste iso and eboot in fpkg folder and then rebuild ??

Please reply

For all games that don't work, don't forget about Retroarch(PS4).. it plays all of them. PS1 and PSP compatibility is better by a mile(no messing with unknown configs, multi-track game support). Just not as high quality(graphically) as the new emus...

back on topic

not working in PS1 emu(syphon filter)

Legend of legaia(slow af)
Legend of the Dragoon(boots, but not too far)
Wipeout XL(crashes emu before title screen)
Doom(freezes on loading..)

Working with issues

Mortal Kombat Trilogy(no music, everything else fine)
Soul Reaver(some of the spoken audio cuts out, everything else fine)

Working perfectly so far

the misadventures of tron bonne(--scale=0 to fix the issue with no text boxes in gameplay)
Street Fighter Alpha 3(--gpu-scanout-fps-override=60 fixed weird controller bug for me?)

So I've tested Quake II (NTSC) and it works perfectly fine. The problem for me is that multitap function doesn't work and analog mode also.

I tried adding:
--multitap
--multitap=1
--multitap=always
with no luck

also since real analog sticks are supported in this game I tried:
--ctlanalog
--ctlanalog=1
--ctlanalog=ON
with no luck

In eboot.bin in hex you can find something like this:
--ctlanalog CTRL default: force analog --sim-analog-pad CTRL default: simu analog CTRL default: automatic analog Toggle force analog mode Force analog %s ON OFF Toggle force digital mode Force digital %s

Any ideas how this option work?

I haven't figured out all of them yet, but it depends on what txt file you add certain command to for them to work(in my tests). You may want to play around with that first...

If about psx games..

Jackie Chan Stuntmaster boot but stuck at black screen after logo!

Jersey Devil - As that game Multi-Track one, we not hear music while gameplay but Its popular bug of most ps1 emulators!

Skullmonkeys - work fine but have missing/appear objects issue

Pandemonium - have tear image effect (Same as with old emu)

I tried everything in two places (with no luck):
- package-ps4.conf
- config-title.txt

try "true" as an option. without the quotes

I didn't see anything in hex to hint to that. But, like the older versions of this emu(PSP patapon, locoroco, parappa 1) you can dump the internals of a real PSP and add stuff to the emu in the correct places... there is a flash0 folder(hint, hint)

try "true" as an option.

Just tried it in both multitap and ctlanalog, in "package-ps4.conf" and "config-title.txt"
Still not working.
I guess someone needs to dump Ape Escape (for analog sticks support) and in the future any 4 player game for proper multitap option...

Few to add to the list (emu syphonfilter v2):
- Dino Crisis (US) - perfect
- Breath of Fire IV (US) - perfect
- Chrono Trigger (US) - perfect
- Gex 3 Deep Cover Gecko (US) - perfect

TRAG Mission of Mercy

working with issue:
Bloody Roar II - fps good but some texture on the background has a problem (like black square)

Parasite Eve II - fps good but delay cursor when selecting choices like dialouge and new game., changing disc restart the emulator (workaround is last save point of disc 1)

¡Hello ! I tried and unfortunately after passing the Arcade mode the screen remains black. This is a common problem when it comes to emulating this game on other platforms. I think it's a matter of the tracks. Maybe it can be corrected :D
Some main INFO!!!

All who have issue with my psx packages for ps4 and in general (like a lag/freeze while gameplay) - try change host with hen! 2.1.2 as that user says Probably it helps!

Also looks like hen really matter with compatibility of games!
