PS4 PSX-FPKG (by Jabu) - A Tool to convert PS1 (PSX) games for use on PS4 v0.3

Well probably that demo disc not work

Hello Vika23,
Sorry to bring this topic up, but I really care about him (nostalgia...).

I just tested the disc on PC via the ePSXe emulator and it works fine.

I also tried with an old Euro Demo CD (Playsation Magazine in France), and I encounter the same problem, OK via ePSXe but bios screen in Japanese or black screen (via the manual method) when launched on PS4 .

Isn't there perhaps a particular parameter to configure?
Maybe I have to use a different/older bios?

you can try with bios but i not sure

How can i add gameshark cheats to a game? is it done via LUA file or something? I really want to add infinite money for Gran Turismo 2 (US version)

Recently found time to test a few conversions.

Converted with: PSX-FPKG 0.3
Tested with: PS4 PRO 9.00 (GoldHen 2.1.2)

PASS RESULTS:

Where 'Default config' is defined against PASS results update, it indicates the following settings have been applied through the PSX-FPKG GUI
Code:
--bios-hide-sce-osd=1
--sim-analog-pad=0x2020
--scale=6

PLAYABLE / FAIL RESULTS:

When trying to fix above results with PLAYABLE or FAIL status the config-title.txt file below was used as starting point
Code:
--bios-hide-sce-osd=1
--ctlanalog=on
--scale=6
--gamma=5
--brightness=9
--contrast=8
--pace-gpu-dma=false
--gpu-scanout-fps-override=ntsc
--cdrom-cmd-time=100
--cdrom-max-seek=true
--defer-linked-dma-irq=false
--opt-cache-isolation=false

Through testing changes would be made to the following settings:
  • Flip --pace-gpu-dma between true/false value
  • Replace --ctlanalog=on with --sim-analog-pad=0x2020 based on dual shock support
  • Lower --scale=6 setting

If after these tweaks no improvement/fixes were scene the changes to and use of the custom config-title.txt file were discarded as they had no impact.

Changes that did have an impact were maintained and detail below under 'Custom Config'

CUSTOM CONFIG-TITLE.TXT FILES:

Code:
--bios-hide-sce-osd=1
--ctlanalog=on
--scale=6
--gamma=5
--brightness=9
--contrast=8
--pace-gpu-dma=true
--gpu-scanout-fps-override=ntsc
--cdrom-cmd-time=100
--cdrom-max-seek=true
--defer-linked-dma-irq=false
--opt-cache-isolation=false
Code:
--bios-hide-sce-osd=1
--sim-analog-pad=0x2020
--scale=6
--gamma=5
--brightness=9
--contrast=8
--pace-gpu-dma=true
--gpu-scanout-fps-override=ntsc
--cdrom-cmd-time=100
--cdrom-max-seek=true
--defer-linked-dma-irq=false
--opt-cache-isolation=false

@Stayhye see my last post.

I noticed you mentioned you were able to get Tron Bonne working just be setting --scale=0 however in my testing I was unable to get that working.

Do you have time to re-test see if you were noticing similar issues to me?

Thanks

My config for Tronne Bonne
Code:
# Misadventures of Tron Bonne

--image0="data/Misadventures of Tron Bonne.bin"

--bios-hide-sce-osd=1
--has-shown-start-select-help=1

--ps1-title-id=SLUS00896

--gpu-scanout-fps-override=60
--scale=0

Make sure you have no conflicting commands across config-title.txt, package-ps4.txt and config-region.txt.

That's so strange.. using the below conifg, which near enough matches yours result in the issues i've detailed in my last post

Code:
--bios-hide-sce-osd=1
--sim-analog-pad=0x2020
--scale=0

What is the difference between 0x2020 and force digital for --sim-analog-pad values?
Also is there anything in the SIEA directory config files that could be fixing issues I'm seeing?

This is all that is need for complete build. Removing those other txt files simplifies things...

@Stayhye : WS for [SLUS00771] Rival Schools - United by Fate [Evolution Disc] don't work with your .lua file :(

I believe the lua was only for disc1, not sure...

Ah ok but disk 2 is more fun than disk 1 :(

@Stayhye
.toc file is for music of the game ?
i see X-Men - Mutant Academy 2.toc on your list but i have the game converted with music on the game and i don't need a toc file, what's the difference ?

Hello, I can't switch to CD2 in Necronomicon: The Dawning of Darkness. How do I do it?
Weigh Pause before creating pkg(debug) in on anything ( pshd-data-TOC-Datei
)?
