PS4 [Research]PS2 emulator configuration on PS4

When the scope is zoomed in, the crosshairs have an odd issue that I will have to make a video of sometime tomorrow. It's definitely something that is better explained when seen.
Ok, you can check that changing:

--gs-uprender=2x2
--gs-upscale=EdgeSmooth

to:

--gs-uprender=none
--gs-upscale=none

fix issue. For me it looks like upscalling issue.

That also did not work unfortunately. The issue still persists when not being upscaled. Gonna experiment with it more right now.

Edit: Upon using the new Jak emu files, it appears to be working under the Point upscaling option. Consider this fixed!

Double Edit: It also works on EdgeSmooth as well. Wow, I feel like a dummy for not doing this before lmao

Damn it. Now Silent Scope 2 apparently has an issue in PCSX2 where it won't run because of something called i.Link on the older model of PS2s and this is apparently an issue on an older BIOS. However the only way to get it running in PCSX2 is by simply running it on a BIOS greater than v2.20. This means that it couldn't be fixed through normal means using LUA and the config.txt, correct? Weirdly enough, Silent Scope 3 runs absolutely flawlessly.

@maiffa71 - no need for a config. Just use the emu from "jak and daxter - the precursor legacy" or "king of fighters '98". Works with default settings.

what does metal saga do? Not boot at all?

No, it boots fine. Looks amazing, runs amazing, softlock black screen as soon as you open several menus. Specifically, Equipment or SatCom. It's a known issue on PCSX2 but was fixed with a "DMA busy hack" as well as clamping and a hack called "Delay VIF1 Stalls", but PS2emu doesn't seem to have those hacks, and none of the clamping modes work for me :(

I've been desperate to get this working and it's driving me crazy :\

--vif1-instant-xfer=1
--detect-idle-vif=1

try these. These are the only commands I know of with reference to VIF1

Already tried, boss, no go. Kozarovv was helping me with it and we tried this;

~edit~

An update - however slight - is that vif1-ignore-cmd-ints doesn't freeze the emulator on load now. I guess that command didn't exist in the Rogue Galaxy emulator but does in a more recent one? Still, that + any of the other commands still result in a black screen on SatCom menu. Ho~hum.

~edit~

H-huh.... ?

--vif1-instant-xfer=1
--detect-idle-vif=1
--vif1-ignore-cmd-ints=0
--gs-use-deferred-l2h=0

--vif1-instant-xfer=1
--detect-idle-vif=0
--vif1-ignore-cmd-ints=0
--gs-use-deferred-l2h=0

These configs load the game, still black screen on SatCom, BUT it does something it didn't do before... when you open the SatCom menu, right before the black screen, a sound effect is heard. That didn't happen before.

Oh shit. Is this progress?

~edit~

Also, neither of these throw EE faults and crash the emulator after name-entry screen when using Jak emulator ... but they do still hard lock and freeze as soon as the game starts.

--vif1-instant-xfer=0
--detect-idle-vif=1
--vif1-instant-xfer=0
--detect-idle-vif=0

I've found some widescreen fix for Gradius V
Any chance to make it work in PS4?

Effortlessly :)

http://psx-scene.com/forums/f19/ps2-patch-engine-117652/

Grab the "PS2 Patch Engine", open it, drag your game ISO into the window, then drag the region-matching correct pnach file into the window also. Click patch. Done :) You can then put your WS-patched ISO into whatever PS2-PKG method you use. Just keep in mind that patching games *may* break them in the PS2emu.

I GOT IT!!!!!!!!!! It's working!! I GOT PASSED THE BLACK SCREEN \o/\o/\o/\o/\o/\o/\o/\o/\o/\o/\o/ This is my final config-emu-ps4.txt using the Jak & Daxter- Precursor Legacy emulator template.

Game works, loads, looks amazing, runs perfectly (eghhh, so far, need to test more) and THE SATCOM MENU OPENS ^_^ I'll be testing this all night, and then patching for Widescreen and injecting Codebreaker to see if *those* work too.

I GOT IT!!!! YaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaY!!!

Teaser ;)
