PS4 [Research]PS2 emulator configuration on PS4

Just an example, true find is emulog file. ;) I still have problem to obtain it (probably due to sandbox), but I finally can generate it. With this file fixing games will be easy, is like debug output.

Oh finally. Now I can quit guessing, and then I could finally find a way to get Silent Scope 2 working. I'm thinking on trying the --ee-cycle-scalar options since some fixes for i.Link games on PCSX2 revolve around the Emotion Engine.

hunter works just fine with new emu(Jak), minus the floor textures are messed up

Aw damn. I was hoping Hunter would be fixed... though I'm sure there's a command somewhere xD

~edit~

Thanks for the info, @Stayhye , I can return Metal Saga back to "Not Working" status.. and quietly sob to myself. I just don't have the knowledge required to figure out which commands are related to freezing and which aren't, but even with SatCom error fixed, I simply can't figure out a fix for the immediate freeze on combat start. Oh well.

@mysis I successfully enabled emulog, and padlog. Still working on GS snapshot commands, and overall "replay data".

File is created in /mnt/sandbox/SLUS21255_000/temp0/recordings/slus-21255/emulog_slus-21255.txt (based on your game id from config).

To enable logging you need:

--emulog-file=1
--path-emulog="/tmp/recordings"
Additionally you can add --pad-record=1 for padlog file.

To get files in readable form you need to first FTP there empty files, or emu will create them without read permission for us. Or you can patch emu to create 0777 instead of 0600. :)

Now need some game that erroring, because log comes from working game.

Probably FPU related. Music still plays? No error?

No One Lives Forever has this issue. When you finish a level, it doesnt jump to the loading screen. Black screen, music still plays, no error and cannot open ingame menu as it seems to hang.

PS3 emu has the same issue, But PS3 BC does run the game and PCSX2 as well. Do you have any suggestions for me @kozarovv?

Great job on the emu log file!

How to get rid of black bars? Is there any way to do full screen? After we select render mode to 2x2 the black bars become even thicker.

Anybody have any ideas on getting Tony Hawk's American Wasteland to work?
Every game in that series aside from PS3 seems to have the same issue with freezing at the first loading screen, since the settings list for pcsx2 specified round-mode of 0, I thought maybe it might be an FPU accurate range issue, as such I tried making a config with just the wide range recommended by koza for the cold winter game but the issue persisted, I also tried adding that command to the config that allowed pro skater 3 to run (I know dumb idea) but that didn't seem to fix it either.

Can we go beyond 2x2?

I believe there's a 4x4 command too, though I wouldn't recommend it. The hardware simply isn't going to run games at 4x vert/hor very well :\ As for black bars... um, top or sides? Top bars signify region (PAL games tend to have larger letterboxing to compensate for higher PAL resolution) and side pillars are basically your TV filling in the 16:9/widescreen area with a 4:3 signal. You can patch your game ISOs to support widescreen, if a patch is available for PCSX2 or if the game doesn't have native 16:9, but that comes with its own compatibility issues too.

What about PS4 Pro? Can it support 4x4? I used this command to make it full screen "--host-display-mode=full" and now black bars are minimal from all four sides.

me and some friends are really scratching our head to try and run Return To Castle Wolfenstein

The game starts perfectly using default config. But alot of problems arise. graphical and sound glitches
As soon as you open a door to go inside a building . your vision doesnt render outside the building. objects like doors .enemies, hidden walls and radio's go missing (they are there but you cant see them). sound that should play inside a building for example from a radio. you can hear that when you open the door and still stand outside but as soon as you go outside... nothing

i tried some fixes
tried various clamping settings -> no effect
tried alternative renderer /upscaler -> freezes at loading screen
tried hle -> freezes at loading screen

can anybody help me please. (or is this problem unfixable and do we have to wait for sony to update the emulator)

thanks in advance

If we write 2x4 or 3x3 or 4x4 for the uprender, the game always freeze on the background cover. It won't even display black screen or Playstation 2 logo. Are these commands valid? The only one that seems to work is 2x2.
