PS4 [Research] PS2 Game Status on (PS4's - PS2 EMU)

Ratchet & Clank series, doesn't run on the PS2Net_Emu (PlayStation3), let alone PS2Emu (PlayStation4).

Ratchet & Clank, requires full PlayStation2 Hardware, the Kinetica Engine its a little troublesome with emulation.

The only way to get the series working its either a real PlayStation2 or a PlayStation3 (CECHA/B), the (CECHC/E Models) also runs the game but at the cost of poor framerate, due to de absence of the Emotion Engine.

Ratchet & Clank - Size Matters and Secret Agent Clank, are the exception, since they ran on a different engine, initialy optimized for the PlayStation Portable.

Is there any fix yet for Silent Hill 2 Director's Cut delayed FMVs? Not all but some FMV cutscenes in the game take around 20 seconds to load, crackling the audio as well. After that waiting time, they load perfectly so I wonder if it's a timing issue.

You can try --cdvd-sector-read-cycles=40000 or --cdvd-sector-read-cycles=4000 in TXT config.

Sometimes it works, but 70% the time, it doesn't. Tried a few times. Sometimes it would load fine if I used Continue rather than Load but even there it can fail randomly.
 
With the new converter and development in the exploitable ps4 firmware is the compatibility increased?
For example Spyro enter the dragonfly were listed as non working and it didn't worked for me until jabu's converter come out but the list isn't updated.
Are there other games in this situation? Who I have to inform to update the list?
 
What happened to psdevwiki.com? There it contained valuable settings for fixing many games. Where can I find these settings now?
 
Evil Dead Regeneration has audio problems with the shotgun, chainsaw, and other audio bugs. I tried with NTSC and PAL. Any fix for it?

Hi there. I've been trying to remove interlacing from WipEout Fusion USA (SLUS20462). So far I've tried:

LUA
gsObj.SetDeinterlaceShift(1)

and

eeObj.WriteMem32(0x00216A64,0x00000000)

Which is its pcsx2 no interlacing code translated to LUA, but none of these work and makes the game crash on boot, otherwise it runs perfectly. Tested with both Jak V2 and Rogue V1.
Can someone help me on this please?
 
@kozarovv, did you tried Okami with polish translation? I can't get it to work no matter what settings i use. It's strange 'cause iirc on PS3 it was working. Patched iso is fine, tested on PCSX2. Unpached iso (PAL, SLES54439) works fine on PS4, so maybe cracktro added by ffgriever is causing problem? Any idea how to fix it or bypass cracktro?

Kozarovv mentioned one time that all ffgriever's ps2 translations probably need this fix https://www.psx-place.com/threads/r...onfiguration-on-ps4.16131/page-47#post-240636 maybe it will somehow help.

++I attached a template for use with GBA emulation. Keep in mind the rom size limit <=8mb

- Put GBA rom in BOOT folder, create ISO with CDGENPS2, then create ps2ps4pkg and install to ps4 like any other game.

Then, on PS4:
- Launch game
- use filebrowser and browse to cdfs
- copy REGBA and TEMPGBA folders to mc1.
- rename the GBA_BIOS.BIN to gba_bios.bin in REGBA/TEMPGBA folders in mc1
- copy BOOT and SYS-CONF to mc0
- Then launch REGBA.ELF.
- go to mc0
- launch GBA rom
- have fun :)

you only have to do these steps once per GBA game. After that the template will auto boot to rom selection. This quick tutorial assumes you have some prior PS2 homebrew knowledge.

Atelier Marie & Elie: The Alchemist of Salburg still has freezes or entry in list was outdated? which emulator should I use then? JakV2, Rogue?
 
Some games I converted and installed are 100gb plus of my PS4 space. Did I convert them wrong or is it some error with the game itself with compatibility?
Games are jade cocoon 2 and final fantasy dirge of Cerberus that giving 100gb+ space taken issue.
