@Crystal is Mame 0.125 by Ole from FB NEo Plus RL available in RetroArch PSX-Place CE?
If yes, do you have a list of all roms compatible with it?
Thanks in advance.
It was developed by Watermelon Games and it's not a Sega CD game but standard Mega Drive game which runs from Cartridge BUT also supports the Mega CD add on (CD soundtrack only).I read there is a Sega CD version, but when I tried to run it with Genesis Plus GX I got this..
WOW.. it's an homebrew project... impressive!!So there's this great fan-made RPG for the Genesis called Pier Solar and the Great Architects. I read there is a Sega CD version, but when I tried to run it with Genesis Plus GX I got this...

I don't suppose there's some solution to this? (BTW, this game requires the Japanese Mega CD bios, despite there being only US and European versions of the game.)
Mega Drive development scene is still going. There are a lot of new games to the system.WOW.. it's an homebrew project... impressive!!

Stick the sound disc in your Mega CD and the cartridge in your Mega Drive.
The game should then detect the CD automatically.
How Genesis plus Gx handles this I'm not sure but you can't load the CD like a standard game.
@JediKnight007 maybe if you follow my links above (reddit one) you can understand how MSU-MD works and try to emulate it. Probably you would need to get the ISO image compatible with your ROM, if it's USA, then get the Soundtrack ISO from USA as well. Then edit the CUE of the ISO and change TRACK1 to call the ROM (for example, rename piersolar-usa.md (unpack the zip) to Pier Solar and the Great Architects Enhanced Soundtrack Disc (USA) (Track 1).binSo there's this great fan-made RPG for the Genesis called Pier Solar and the Great Architects. I don't think Genesis Plus GX supports this functionality.I think that combination only works on the Wii or GameCube version of GPGX.
Watermelon Games are/were an independent development studio made/published Mega Drive games.it's an homebrew project
I don't think it's exactly the same but it's possible as MSU-MD was based on this official supported hardware functionality.does it work like MSU-MD hacks?
I started looking into converting the game/enhanced audio CD version to MSU-MD.Probably something like that would make this game work with soundtrack as MD-MSU.
Great, thanks! I found the Pier Solar patch plus OST in the Archive.org.I started looking into converting the game/enhanced audio CD version to MSU-MD.
Found a post on krikkz's forum re: conversion completed/confirmed working and an archive containing the MSU-MD version 'msu-md directory listing - Archive'

I think it's a matter of preference. The art of mega drive / genesis version feels more consistent, it's all pixel art. And the Dreamcast / PS3 is a mix of pixel art + HD digitally painted backgrounds.Hey Jediknight007 long time no see! How you been bro?
Any reason for just not wanting to play the native PS3 port? This enhanced version of the game was even ported over to Dreamcast and it is much better visually than the original version.

No need to transfer the save.I doubt I'd be able to transfer that save to the Sega CD version
Genesis Plus GX dev added support but the PS3 core has an issue re: Mega CD games on internal HDD (CD audio is bad) so I haven't tried any MSU-MD games.MSU-MD was not supported by any emulator
Delete retroarch.cfgHi,
RetroArch Community Edition was working really well for two month, until it doesn't ... Now when I try to load RetroArch, it just go back XMB.
Before Community Edition I was using RetroArch 1.7.0 then 1.7.7, and I experienced the same problem, it works fine for some weeks, then for no apparent reason RetroArch doesnt work anymore.
I could reinstall RetroArch again and again every two month, as its working when I reinstall it, but it's becoming a bit annoying.
Maybe someone have an idea of what could be wrong with my PS3 and RetroArch ?
My PS3 is a slim model 25xx with CFW Evilnat 4.87.2 and everything is running fine except this little issue with retroarch.
