PS2 RetroArch (PS2) Progress : New Cores incoming, gpSP (GameBoy Advance @ Full-Speed)

Emulation on a Homebrew Enabled PS2 Console has some great progress in the past year plus, thanks to still very much active PS2 development scene. Developer's like @fjtrujy has ported RetroArch to the PS2 about and since then has been adding more and more support for additional emulation with additional libretro core's., Recently the developer previewed some big things that have been in the pipeline for the PlayStation 2 port of RetroArch (a multi-system emulator).

The PS2 now has a new full speed GBA (GameBoy Advance) emulator coming soon with the gpsp libretro core now running very well @ full speed with the work of @fjtrujy and @davidgfnet collaborating to bring dynarec to provide a full speed gba emu on the PS2 Console. Also, the Lutro Core (Lua) improvements are right around the corner as well with some progress being made (seen here) to the core . See some of the progress that has been made on the PS2 port of RetroArch so far in 2021 below.

When this port first came out back in jan 2019, we had 2 cores and now we are nearing 35 cores !!!! It's impressive how many core's are being added and the untapped potential that is being tapped into.. Development scene in the PS2 Community has always been and continues to be very strong.

This is great to see. I just wish it were more stable on the PS2.

If only the PS3 was getting this kind of attention from the RA team as it is now easier than ever to soft mod.

I have tried it via usb but it does not generate any saved games, it only generates empty folders.

Today good and bad all the cores were updated with the option of 240P is the maximum image quality that the PSX offers now for the Core Retroarch.
The Bad News there is no more Core for the PS2 Francisco J. Trujillo goes to the PS4 he is adapting all the PS2 Core to function on the PS4, there is no more Core, a pity I expected another improved SNES core and another of Atari 2600 with the option of full screen and a possible Core of PSX but no longer going to Happen.
I mentioned several times to him about the Popstarter and the Ps2psxe but he always told me that the console did not have the power for that Core and he simply ignored what I told him about the popstarter and the ps2psxe as if those two did not even exist. the link of the discussion forum of the popstarter but nothing.
Anyway, I feel you friends, I no longer open Core for the PS2, you have to enjoy the Core that I feel for the news.

I have a question... I have installed the Neo Geo core on my Ps2 and when I load it into Retroarch, it takes me directly to the console browser. Is the emulator compatible with the console or is it just my mistake?
