RetroArch (PS3)

PS3 RetroArch (PS3) - Guide (2018 - WIP) __

Good news, MAME2003 Plus seems to be back in action, games that I previously reported were freezing now work again. Sega System 32 games still load to a non-frozen black screen, though. (Alien 3, Jurassic Park, Spider-Man, among others.) Been meaning to report this stuff on Github (still no response with Cannonball), but personal issues have killed my motivation (see my profile page for details).

@Crystal, perhaps you can add this core to FB Neo RL Plus?

Certainly.

Hi all, does this thread apply to those who are running retroarch on ps3 with HEN ? I'm having a hard time getting the thumbnails shown for MAME, I succeeded with the SNES ones though.
Thanks

Is there any way of sorting the games on a playlist by year/genre or any criteria?
I guess the answer is no since I didn't find any info about it, if so, maybe creating different playists?
But then just one of the playlist could be associated with the thumbnails since they need to have the same name than the thumbnail folder, am I right?
If there was any way of having different playlists for the same set of roms... how could I get the info of the games? Such of the year for example. Is there some database I could take that info from? (If possible not 1 by one of course)
Thanks in advance!

I'm just working on creating a database to recognize game roms, to create core associations, to create playlist and so on...
working in progress!
I'm collecting data and information from Libretro data, MameDev data and recalbox data....

MAME 2003 Plus is supporting alternate CD soundtracks for 6 games. Think of this as arcade MSU-1. :)

Info - https://www.libretro.com/index.php/...-a-high-performance-libretro-arcade-emulator/
(scroll down a bit)

Games (expect significantly longer load times with these, naturally)

Final Fight - played all the through
Double Dragon - played all the through
MK1 - played about 20 minutes on all stages, ok
Outrun - some random freezing (God, the music in this so screams 1980s :) )
NBA Jam - froze upon pressing start after inserting a coin
Michael Jackson's Moonwalker (bootleg) - froze upon pressing start after inserting a coin (too bad, this game probably benefits the most from this)

Wich Retroarch version supports BlueMSX?
I'm currently using the 1.76 version.
The 1.76 doesn't have bluemsx core installed by default. I need the bluemsx.self .
I tryed to download from Retroarch but it doesn't appear in the list so I can download it.

I extracted the bluemsx core from 1.71 extended pkg and it works.. but is there anyway that I can map the keyboard to gamepad?
Or is there a way to use my usb keyboard instead? I tried and it only works on Sony PS3 XMB (not the one inside Retroarch). Maybe I need to configure it inside Retroarch, but how?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Not that I know of...seems like a good time for a new RetroArch Extended Edition...
