well, here's a good piece of advice from wololo:

Now, whether this is indeed a 8.52 exploit or not, it is important for people to stay calm. If confirmed to be a 8.52 vulnerability, there are a lot of things that would need to happen for this to turn into a release, in particular:
  1. The exploit actually needs to be disclosed. Nobody has confirmed or denied whether this would happen at this point
  2. The scene needs a user-level entry point, such as a webkit exploit, to be able to even launch the kernel vulnerability. We do not have that at the moment
  3. All of this needs to be bundled in a user-friendly exploit. For the 7.55 exploit we've seen that this could sometimes take months, even when all the pieces are here.
 
I just checked. it's still not disclosed on hackerone. it will have to be before anything can be done, because we don't know what the exploit is.
 
yes, but I couldn't find one by cturt. he's the hacker who's found this new exploit. it probably won't be listed until 9.00 is finalized and released. it's in beta version 3 last time I heard.
 
I would not update, no. chances are very low that an exploit will be released for the latest firmware at the time, especially with hackerone existing.
 
well, it's always better to have one on lower firmware. there are some things to this day that only work on 4.55 or 5.05. and, it's also far more stable. chances are high that any new exploit will be even more unstable as these exploits use race attacks like the early wii u ones with more challenges with each new firmware (though it's based on the exploit itself as well). if it fails, you get a memory error (if it's a webkit error) or a kernel panic (if it's a kernel error). that's if it fails to make the changes in memory fast enough.
 
ive got a feeling it is gonna be a good while before any 8.xx exploits are disclosed, sonys been trying to keep the scene as far in the past as possible to prevent cheaters and things. but its only a matter of time, if you missed your chance either find one thats on 7.5x or lower preferably. 7.5x while yeah its exploitable its kinda hit and miss, 2 outa 3 times trying to jb results in a KP usually during the kernel exploit, but once you get a succesfull payload launch its pretty stable.
 
no, there probably won't be any for a while. we still don't even have a webkit exploit. it could be months before anything happens. this thread was mostly a warning that there's a potential exploit for the ps4 that works up to 8.52, not really an indication that it would be released soon. I waited about three years for an exploit on 4.55, after I updated to 4.07 to download a shitty dragon quest 30th anniversary theme from the Japanese store to go with my dragon quest system. then, a few days later, an exploit for 4.05 was released, so it made me feel terrible.

I refer to 8.03. I know that for 8.52 it's gone be long time
 
can't release the exploit yet, because it hasn't been disclosed on hackerone. he's probably still waiting on his ten grand.

Why Sony pays 10 k for xploit and then let them release it?they can wait for release like we wait..and see what.s the mistake they make
