PS3 (Tutorial) Bypass PSN Login for Netflix on PS3

So earlier this week my child managed to log into Netflix on my PS3 without logging into PSN. Thanks to @Joonie the method to do this is now known. Before you go and get to happy so far only users of the latest NA Netflix app in the US have had success doing this as well. Here is a terrible video just to show it is working fine.

  • 1. Sign into PSN
  • 2. Sign into Neflix
  • 3. Sign out of PSN while still logged into Neftlix
  • 4. Exit Netflix
  • 5. Re-launch Netflix
  • 6. PSN bypassed
  • 7. Turn off the PS3
  • 8. Launch Netflix now without the need to use PSN (Note works even on different user profile)

Images and guide provided by Joonie I am just putting to together in a easy to read guide. I stumbled upon this but thought it was no longer needed and Sony was taking from the PS4 since if it can't find PSN you can still use video services. Joonie is the guy that deserves the credit for finding and writing up the details. ​

Edit: remember to delete any existing Netflix cache folder in /dev_hdd0/game before following the steps...

Thanks a lot!! I know it's rough but I was hoping @STLcardsWS or @kozarovv could work their magic and front page this to get more exposure since we found out how to do this. Also EU users if you can try a VPN that makes it seem your in the US and see if that works.

How many have confirmed this working in North America? I am in the USA, and have tried this on 3 slims, 2 CFW, and OFW. But always at Step 6. it asks me to sign into PSN.

After you guys do Step 3., does it tell you right away before you can even exit Netflix, that you have to be signed into PSN to use Netflix?

Going to try my NAND model now. Maybe that has something to do with it?

That's why I have been asking for users to report.
We are not sure yet, there could be something else required for it to work that we have not identified yet...
So far 2 users got this to work. I know of at least a couple more from the nopsn apps thread that might have used the same trick for weeks actually without realising it...
I don't have a Netflix account so I cannot try unfortunately.. [emoji22]

I tested this on both of my NAND systems [CECH-A01 and E01] and they all work fine.

I live in the U.S. Southwest, my service provider is COX

I do have a U.S. account for netflix

1. Sign into PSN

2. Sign into Neflix

3. Sign out of PSN while still logged into Neftlix

4. Exit Netflix (Long press PS button to exit the app instead of signing out of netflix)

After this, I can skip the signing process for both PSN and Netflix

Tested on REBUG 4.81.2 , and HABIB Espresso 4.81

I signed out of PSN, then exited like u show in your pics.

Looks like this is where it saves token for your login information

 

When I sign out it spits me back to netflix. Saying I need to sign into psn. Not sure if im right but think this is only working in the us

Doubtful, playerkp420 is in the US & has the same problem as you do....

Yes, I have that folder.

EDIT - I noticed even after deleting Netflix, that folder was still there. So I deleted it, and followed your guide again. And of course it worked!

here is how to get newest nefix USA without PSN login a all tricky but work do above then ftp find NPEB00874CACHE copy all in user directory to pc

Then find NPUP00030CACHE copy all the files into user directory that you copied above
Now you have without ever login into PSN Netfix access

There is the same flaw in both versions then...

 

Working but if you change the IDPS/PSID after it will give error "Your netflix data cannot be transferred to another system" and you have to login again to PSN.
I know you can hard write ID's to EID0 or use ex webman to enable ID's on startup etc.. but i'm currently borrowed ID's from a friend to login PSN so not a long term solution for me..
Anyways if anyone know a work around please let us know.
