Yes i did, i tried the 3.10 prebuild first but doesnt work. then i tried the hybrid prebuild same result. i burn the disk at slow speed and verify it and tried multiple attempts but to no result.

What message did you encounter?
- Disk read error
- Unable to read disc
- Play halted due to malfunction
- BSOD (Black screen of death)

I got the two problems
-Unable to read disc (I clean the laser thing and check if it can read other disk, it is able to read other disks)
-BSOD (Black Screen of death)
sometimes the screen would flicker showing it would launch but sadly no.

i have been hearing the ps2 guys say that slow speed is not needed anymore. try to burn at half speed maybe full.

Try this:
  • Good media like Tayo Yuden or Verbatim from Mitsubishi Chemical Corp.
  • Use IMGBurn
  • Turn OPC in the write-settings ON
  • Write at the mid-speed of the supported range... For 4-16x that's ~10x, but with OPC you can use 8x or try AWS.

Will definitely try all of steps tq for the tips

I was really hoping this could be done without the usb drive. Mine are broken so i'll have to wait and see if it can ever be done without the usb.

If I'm not mistaken, FDVDB can be modified to boot any elf. So, with some tinkering, it may be possible to boot straight into the FMCB installer from the disc.

yeah it can be modded like that. ofc a pc tool that injects the elf and adds any file to iso you want would be nice.

as for FMCB, it may need to be recompiled with the new lib changes for seeing files on dvd. so right now maybe the installer would launch, but it would need to have its resource files on usb. after recompile maybe a dvd that can be made that installs fmcb, opl, sms, etc (like fmcb newbie package does) without a usb helper.

Actually... There is a workaround...

Put the Noobie-Package onto the disc and execute it via wLE.

Then copy the apps, the drivers and the config manually to MC via wLE!

Edit: You have to use an old 1.8 Noobie-Package for this though...
